Dansville Team Wins 34-19 at Livonia LeRoy invades Ralph Clements Field Friday night for the Dansville High Homecoming feature and a renewal of an intense Livingston County Conference rivalry. The Mustangs took advantage of several Livonia mistakes and combin- ed this with a strong running game to roll to a 34-19 victory there Saturday afternoon. Coaches Dan Supulski and John Pit- cher watched their team spot the hosts a first quarter touchdown and then bounce back with two scores in the second period, one in the third and two in the fourth to record the deci- sion. Livonia scored again in the final quarter and passed for its third just before time ran out. Livonia used the aerial route for two of its touchdowns but found this of- fense expensive as DCHS intercepted five tosses. One by Dave Faalzarano in the second quarter resulted in a 57- yard touchdown return which put the Mustangs in front to stay. Falzarano had a ssecond steal while Ron Weid- man, Paul Englert and Craig Howe each had one. Early in the second quarter, quarterback Chris Shively passed nine yards to Weidman for Dansville's first score. Shively tossed another strike to Weidman for the two-point conversion and an 8-7 lead. Falzarano then returned his interception for the TD and Dansville had a 14-7 ad- vantage at halftime. Mike Kim moved the Mustangs out in front by another six early in the third quarter when he slipped off tackle and raced 71 yards for the score. Shively accounted for the final two touchdowns, capping drives set up by Livonia turnovers. The first came on a seven-yard run and the second on a four-yard sweep. Following the last one, Jon Bennett booted the point. Bennett had another conversion nullified by a penalty. Six keglers toppled the maples for 600 totals to set a fast scoring pace in Tri-County League action at Brae Bum lanes last week. Showing the way was Dave Luce with 661 on games of 212, 213 and 236. Golf Tourney Video Open to Public

A video presentation of the 1983 Cor­ning Classic golf tournament is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Brae Burn Recreation Center.

The Economic Development Com­mittee of Noyes Memorial Hospital has invited the public to attend this special meeting to launch plans for the 1984 event.

This year, the first in which Noyes participated as a recipient of tourna­ment benefits, the hospital received more than $10,000 worth of equipment and money. The 1983 Classic, won by Patty Sheehan, t^ped ovejr $121^0^

Redskin Team Triumphs In Empire Grid Feature

Wayland s "AA" Redskins defeated Spencerport 20-6 in an Empire League battle last week.

In the opening quarter, Mark Court­ney slashed over from the one for a touchdown set up by a blocked punt on the Spencerport 20. Brian Ktmn hit pay dirt in the second quarter grabb­ing a six-yard pass from Courtney.

After Spencerport scored on a 28-yard run in the third period, Wayland clinched it in the final quarter. Following a 40-yard interception return by Rocky Chapman, Todd Smallwood caught a 30-yard pass from Kirk Williams. Kuhn added the conversion. Bob Booth led the defen­sive unit with three fumble recoveries.

In Vince Lombardi League action Canisteo's "A" and "B"

defeated Wayland squads by 84 scores while the "C"

the Redskins 22-0.

The "A" team's defense held Canisteo to minus 15 yards and two first downs. In the opening period, Kevin Mark blocked a punt and Davis Hunt recovered a fumble. In the se­cond quarter, a 30-yard touchdown dash by Bobby Domm was nullified by a clipping penalty. In this quarter, Todd Hunt had two quarterback sacks and Rick Tripp one. Mark Didas pick­ed off a pass and Bobby Watson recovered a fumble.

The game's only touchdown came in the third quarter on a pass intercep­tion return. Wayland continued strong defense and Domm recovered a fum­ble. Doug Myles and Robert Praser each recovered fumbles in the fourth quarter.

In the -B" game, Canisteo scored the only TD in the opening period. For the Redskins, Matt Peck recovered a fumble as did Matt Phillips.

Karen Wyant made the big news last week in women's bowling at Brae Burn lanes.

The Dansville keglette crashed the maples for a big 621 series on games of 158,218 and 245 in the Women's "B" League matches. Five other bowlers posted 500 totals. They are Linda Car­rier, 169, 182, 182, 533; Judy Jerome, 160,166,190, 516; Cindy Hoag, 183,190, 142, 515; Karen Henry, 158, 155, 196, 509; Anne Wood, 165,153,185,503.

Industrial League Kegler on 600 Line

Ron Wolf became the third kegler of the young Industrial League season to join the 600 Club. He did it last week at Brae Bum lanes with a 603 on lines of 213,191 and 199.

Richmond. The Richmond squad lead the "A" Divi­sion with a 28-12 record and Barber­shop is second with 26-14. FW Forge Shop gained ground to 24-16 with an 8-0 sweep over FW Stock Room.

Also winning 8-0 were York Con­tractors over FW Tube Shop and Jackson Hose over Protectives. The Bandag Recappers won 6-2 over Main Tire, Lent's RV Service won 6-2 over RaPidGro and Joe Englert Upholstery won 6-2 over FW Assemblers. Pat and Diane's Autobody and Marine Midland split 4-4.

Wayland Mixers Find High Scoring Range

Nine bowlers hit 200 in the Tuesday Nite Mixer League at Tonkery's Bowlaway last week, Gary Bauer leading the way with 227.

Bill Malone and Don Wester shared 222's with Norb Kimbel a pin shy at 221. Jim Gibson turned in 215, Jeff Koch rolled 207, and Bill Boscoe, Larry Hartzell, and Gary Kramer each had 203.

Shetlers holds the first spot with a 16-4 record followed by Legion Two at 13-7, and T-Shirt Island and Legin One with 12-8. Tonkery's Bowlaway posted high team single and series of 1,088 and 3,059.
