Country Report of the SUSPLUS Multiplier Event 'Sustainable Food Systems - Outcomes of the SUSPLUS project'
Organiser: Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain)
1. Dates
The event took place on Wednesday, May 9th 2018, in the framework of the University open
days. It took place in the morning session, from 9 to 14 h.
2. Location
University main building. Auditorium.
3. Target audience
We had a total number of 88 participants, of whom 52 were from outside our University.
Of these 52, some of them were from official organizations (Madrid townhall, Regional
government), others were private stakeholders, others were staff from other universities
(Spanish Universities such as Valladolid, Segovia or Palencia, and international universities:
Germany, China or Norway). We had 8 foreign visitors attending the event.
People from our University (36 in total) came from the Agricultural School, from the R&D
Institute (itdUPM) and from other schools.
4. Presenters, sessions and presentation topics covered
There was a presentation about the SUSPLUS project carried out by Teresa Briz, followed by a
discussion opened to the public. The project was explained and the results from Spain and
from the whole consortium were exposed. Three of the students that had taken part in the
different activities (Summercourse, Lectures in Schools and Small Research Projects) helped
organize the multiplier event and were available for the questions.
Attendants were given the brochure from the project and the questionnaire in Spanish to be
filled at the end of the event.
5. Participants feedback

The highest answers were both content and speakers (mostly 4 and 5). Then, and
networking. There were hardly any “other” answers. -

I have reinforced or / and extended my professional network or built up new contacts: mostly
“neither agree nor disagree” and “rather agree”
I have learned about funding opportunities to organize innovative international educational
activities: it was left blank in many questionnaires, the rest of them answered “neither agree nor
disagree” and “rather agree”. -
