Countryside Day Nursery Newsletter August 2018 We are Outstanding!!! On Tuesday 3rd July 2018 Countryside Day Nursery were inspected by Ofsted and we are so thrilled that we have been awarded outstanding, The inspector was extremely thorough and spent the majority of the time in the rooms observing and talking to the children as well as having in depth discussions with staff. The inspector then spoke in detail with me to establish management procedures and looked at a great deal of paperwork and our policies. I have attached a copy of this report with the newsletter but some of the phrases I have just highlighted below:- “The quality of teaching is extremely good and highly inspirational” “The excellent range of resources is very well organised for all children to develop their learning inde- pendently as they play” “Staff are exceptional role models who highly value and recognise each child as an individual” I would like to personally thank all of the dedicated staff team who work daily with the children to create such a fantastic exciting environment for your children to attend. It is a real privilege to be able to lead such a dedicated and motivated team and when I walk around the Nursery everyday I see nothing but exemplary practice and outstanding activities. I would also like to thank our parents as you are so fantastic at supporting us with everything which we do. We couldn’t do what we do without you and we are so grateful as you have also helped us to achieve this fabu- lous award. I would also like to thank the children. They make every day different, amusing and exciting and are such a pleasure to work with. The Ofsted inspector commented on their behaviour, enthusiasm to learn and the clear enjoyment they have from being with us. I thoroughly enjoy my job and for me it is an absolute privilege to work with your children every day. Finally I would like to thank my family, my husband Andy, my children Bill and Issy for their patience and un- derstanding when I need to work late or pop into Nursery at the weekend, usually for five minutes but turns out to be several hours. Andy, Bill and Issy are so tolerant as Nursery has been such a huge part of my life, they know if we go out for a day, if there is something I see for Nursery I will always get it or patience when I’m writing my endless lists at home of jobs to do at Nursery. One parent wrote a congratulations card to me this week and said Countryside Day Nursery has been a “Labour of love” all these years. It has but what a joy for me, I have loved every minute of it all. Thank you to everyone xxx To celebrate our Outstanding Ofsted we shall be having a Celebration Party at Countryside Day Nursery on Friday 31st August 3-5pm. . It would be lovely if you could join us, so please complete the reply slip if you would like to attend.

Countryside Day Nursery Newsletter

August 2018

We are Outstanding!!! On Tuesday 3rd July 2018 Countryside Day Nursery were inspected by Ofsted and we are

so thrilled that we have been awarded outstanding,

The inspector was extremely thorough and spent the majority of the time in the rooms observing and talking

to the children as well as having in depth discussions with staff.

The inspector then spoke in detail with me to establish management procedures and looked at a great deal of

paperwork and our policies. I have attached a copy of this report with the newsletter but some of the

phrases I have just highlighted below:-

“The quality of teaching is extremely good and highly inspirational”

“The excellent range of resources is very well organised for all children to develop their learning inde-

pendently as they play”

“Staff are exceptional role models who highly value and recognise each child as an individual”

I would like to personally thank all of the dedicated staff team who work daily with the children to create

such a fantastic exciting environment for your children to attend. It is a real privilege to be able to lead such

a dedicated and motivated team and when I walk around the Nursery everyday I see nothing but exemplary

practice and outstanding activities.

I would also like to thank our parents as you are so fantastic at supporting us with everything which we do.

We couldn’t do what we do without you and we are so grateful as you have also helped us to achieve this fabu-

lous award.

I would also like to thank the children. They make every day different, amusing and exciting and are such a

pleasure to work with. The Ofsted inspector commented on their behaviour, enthusiasm to learn and the clear

enjoyment they have from being with us. I thoroughly enjoy my job and for me it is an absolute privilege to

work with your children every day.

Finally I would like to thank my family, my husband Andy, my children Bill and Issy for their patience and un-

derstanding when I need to work late or pop into Nursery at the weekend, usually for five minutes but turns

out to be several hours. Andy, Bill and Issy are so tolerant as Nursery has been such a huge part of my life,

they know if we go out for a day, if there is something I see for Nursery I will always get it or patience when

I’m writing my endless lists at home of jobs to do at Nursery. One parent wrote a congratulations card to me

this week and said Countryside Day Nursery has been a “Labour of love” all these years. It has but what a joy

for me, I have loved every minute of it all. Thank you to everyone xxx

To celebrate our Outstanding Ofsted we shall be having a Celebration Party at Countryside Day Nursery on

Friday 31st August 3-5pm. . It would be lovely if you could join us, so please complete the reply slip if you would

like to attend.

Sports Day 2018

What a fabulous two days of sports activities we had. I hope you enjoy these

photos of us all. Happy memories!!

Hedgehogs Trip to James's Grandparents Farm

On Thursday 5th July Hedgehogs were invited to visit James’s Grandparents Farm at Leadington, Ledbury.

We had a wonderful time where James showed us how and where to pick strawberries as well as a very informative

tour with detailed descriptions of all the tractors on the farm.

It was an amazing trip and we thank James’s Grandparents very much, thank

you.

Grandparents’ Coffee Morning Friday 28th September

We will be holding a Grandparent’s Coffee Morning on Friday 28th between 9:30am—11:00am. We

are linking this up with Macmillan Cancer Research, therefore we warmly invite all Grandpa’s and

Grandma’s to come in for a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake in exchange for a donation. All

the money raised will go to Macmillan who offer support and help to people who have been diagnosed

with cancer and also to their families. We will be having a Countryside Bake Off.

So if any of our children would be like to bake a cake, biscuits or other tasty treats then please

complete the reply slip and these will then be judged by “Mary Berry” (aka Jean at Nursery)- this

would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The children love showing their Grandparents what they have been learning about at Nursery and it

is for a great cause so please do come along if you can. When we arranged last years Coffee Morning

it was a great success, so lets make this year even bigger and better!

Big Squirrels enjoyed their final swimming lesson on Monday

16th July and each child received a swimming award, well

the awards and the children have progressed so well this

Theo’s Mummy

On Tuesday 24th

July Theo’s

the Big Squirrels children . The activities

included running, balancing Bean bags on their

at these lovely activities.

Thank you so much Cheryl, the children abso-

lutely loved this energetic and fun session.

Jacob’s Daddy

Jacob’s Daddy very kindly came

to Little Squirrels rescue when

he came to pick Jacob up. Lit-

tle Squirrels were struggling to

fit the drill bits into the drills

and Jacob’s Daddy very kindly

showed the children how to fit

them into our hand held drills.

We are so grateful for you

spending time doing this.

Thank you.

Eleanor’s Parents

Thank you Eleanor’s parents for kindly donating us

some large sheets of paper for mark making. The

children have been making great use of this already!

Thank you once again.

Congratulations to Claire and Jason

I am pleased to announce that Claire (Ladybirds) and her partner Jason are expecting their first

baby in January, Claire’s baby is due in the beginning of January so Claire is planning to work

through until the end of December all being well. Claire is planning to return to work with days and

hours yet to be confirmed. For Claire’s key children there will be a smooth transition as Ashleigh

and Jess (currently working in Ladybirds) will be working together to ensure that Claire’s key chil-

dren’s files, assessments and observations are continued to a high standard. Knowing Claire I am

sure she will pop in to see us regularly.

If you have any queries regarding these arrangements, please do not hesitate to speak with myself,

Claire or Cath. However, 0n behalf of everyone at Countryside we would like to congratulate Claire

and Jason on their exciting news and we cannot wait to meet little Baby Nobes.

Sadly lots of our pre school children have left to go to school now and we want to wish you the very best start in your new school and hope that you settle in quickly.
