Homework Provides practice of skills and strategies taught in class. Teaches a sense of independence and responsibility.

Includes:1. A minimum of 20 minutes of daily reading of the student’s

choice. ( Reading Response Journal: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday.)

2. Spelling, Reading, Grammar and/or Math written assignments that are due the following day.

3. Practice spelling words and word sorts.4. Practice math facts.5. Compass Learning through Countryside Website.

STUDENT OF THE WEEK!

Photographs of your child, family members, pets, friends, etc. displayed on a poster to share with the class.

Parents may have lunch at school or take their child out to lunch.

Share awards or special collections.Parents may read your child’s favorite book to

the class.
