OUR TRAINING: What sets us apart?

1. Gurukula system:

Durgadas comes from a long line of Vedic teachingsin his own family and has been taught special techniques in these systems as well as learning Ayurveda, Jyotish and other Vedic sciences

formally, as well as his own in-depth study and research.

As such, our Basic Courses incorporate a complete Integral system of Ayurveda rather than an

allopathic or westernised or pasteurised approach, looking also at Yoga, Jyotish and the concerns of the mind and astral bodies as also Self-awareness in addition to deeper Ayurvedic Panchakarma,

Herbology, Diagnosis etc.

Our Advanced Courses are also conducted in such a manner as to accept only devoted students who will be sincere to the path and teachings they will receive, which requires much self-study and

examination in the traditional manner along with their formal studies.

As all of our Courses have a traditional focus however, they are demanding and require

the student follow and practice sadhanas (spiritual practices) and practical disciplines and observations during their training as also the study of classical texts, in order to

study as the ancient Rishis, the Seers of India also did.

Traditonally, students were chosen and trained specially according to their own abilities and received training in all aspects of Ayurveda and Vedic Sciences.

As such, we aim to do the same.

In keeping with these traditional guidelines, apart from our basic courses, for our Advanced Courses,

students are requested to submit a donation as part of the traditional Guru Dakshina or Gift to the

Guru system of a minimum nominated basic amount (to cover the time and costs of training programs) and in addition are free to give whatever they feel they can.

The monies that we receive from our programs goes back into our Courses, Programs and Books so

that we can continue researching and bringing out the Traditional Ayurveda for the world in all

aspects as not only an Integral System (combining Yoga, Ayurveda, Astrology, Spirituality and Sacred Practices and Teachings of the Sanskrit texts and Vedic traditions and rituals), but also in the

sense of the Guru-disciple tradition and keeping it alive by modern methods!

2. Personal One to One Instruction:

Instruction is given to students according to the areas they first require focus on and then expanding the training systems according to their knowledge and also spiritual aptitude. That is why we require

a background of the potential student and their birth-chart details before accepting them into the

Advanced Courses, where instruction on sadhanas, mantras and such specific for them will be given also in the traditional Guru-shishya system, not a mass instruction.

Various assignments according to the student are hence given to test and develop their knowledge,

understanding and also training during these Advanced Courses, especially Purna Ayurveda, Purna Astrology and Vaidik Para-Yoga Programs, developed by Durgadas - products of 15+ years of

research, study, practice and meditation!

3. Traditional Hindu Focus:

As we follow a traditional approach, students are also taught how to work with deities and how to

approach them and gradually advanced in various sadhanas to understand their personalities and also to aid in their understanding.

Students are also taught how to observe the forces of planets and nature as our ancient Rishis did, so

that they too can access the deeper awareness and insights that also lie beyond any teaching or

instruction so that they too can develop the level of insights as the Rishis such as Agastya. Vasishtha, Krishna, Patanjali Agnivesha, Dhanvantari, Sushruta, Charaka and others did for themselves directly.

The Integral System brings in all aspects of Jyotish, Yoga and Ayurveda in a traditional model and

how they fit together as also how they have been part of India's history since the time of the Rig Veda onwards, which they will also be required to study and understand the deeper mystic secrets of!

4. Accessibility:

With several students in the world today, we incorporate teaching through Skype with direct instruction as also email and other modalities as well as practical physical training in person if one is

able to do so.

This allows students from anywhere in the world to have direct guidance from the teacher not only through books and study-guides and programs, but through direct chat access to allow the training to

be imparted in a traditional manner, while also not losing focus of the Practical approach which is

given through sadhanas and practices to the student; physical instruction and mantras given to the student by voice and direct sight over the internet so that there are now flaws in their pronunciation

and can address concerns directly on their mind.

5. Affiliation and Accreditation:

We are affiliated with the American Institute of Vedic Studies in the USA which also promotes

traditional Vedic teachings through the works of Vamadeva Shastri and Shambhavi Chopra.

Vamadeva works with the Chopra Centre in the USA as well as the Kerala Ayurveda Academy on their

advisory board and is one of the world's foremost authorities on Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish and the Vedic Teachings.

Durgadas and Vamadeva have shared their teachings over the past 15 years.

We are also affiliated with an accredited and well-known Ayurveda Hospital in Kerala that preserves

the traditional Ayurveda also.

The Yoga of the Vedas

About: The Vedic Para-Yoga Program is developed by Veda Kovid and Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher Durgadas as a way to integrate the Vedic and deeper inner Yogic Teachings in a more practical and spiritual manner, and requires personal study with him and his works. It introduces the student to the deeper works of Sri Aurobindo, The Mother and Sri Ramana Maharishi and also correlates their works, and brings also in the deeper application of Ayurvedic Yoga, Vedic Astrology as well as other aspects into the fold, such as the Yoga of the Rig Veda. It contains many deeper teachings of the Goddess, her Vedic connections, as well as important insights by Durgadas, such as the 100 Levels of the Mind and the Para-Chakras or Transcendental Chakras, forming a part of the 21 classical chakras in Yoga, and also their Vedic deities and connections or names. In addition, Durgadas shares his vision for the future humanity by the Yogic Formation of the Future Manu or progenitor of Mankind. Special Vedic and later special Tantric mantras, some revealed to Durgadas as also sadhanas or spiritual practices are taught here, for transformation.

Syllabus: The syllabus follows ones own degree of advancement in Yoga itself and also the study of our books. Studying the Course: This is an advanced Course for those who have completed have some knowledge of Yoga (although not required as supplementary reading is given) and requires direct study with Durgadas and a study of the classical Yoga, Ayurveda and also Jyotish texts, as well as the study of the Vedas.

It is a guided study of his works and is split into Two Phases: Level One: Elementary

After the elementary phase has been studied, students are in a place to understand the two deeper level books which serve as Advanced-level study-guides: 1. Vaidik Para-Yoga Vijnana: Vedic Transcendental Yoga

2. Discussions on Yoga and Ayurveda 3. The Future Humanity (Textbook for Students) 4. Notes on Subtleties in the Vedic Para-Yoga System (Textbook for Students) Hence, the Course is a guided study of Seven Books by Durgadas, with individualised sadhanas, mantras and practices as per the individual and their understanding. The Study is designed so that one gets one to one study with Durgadas and is largely unstructured, to suit the individual, as per the ancient Gurukula system of India.

This Course can be done by anyone in any part of the world, and there is no time-limit to finishing it, although 2-3 months should give you plenty of time! This Course will use our E-Book versions of "Foundations of Ayurveda" and also "Aushadh Rahasya" as it's references, and will be included as part of the Course, which are landmark books of Durgadas, the course author. About the Course: This Course is written by Traditional Practitioner - Veda Kovid and Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher Durgadas, who has studied the traditional system of Ashtavaidya Keraliya Ayurveda including the deeper sides of Clinical

About: Learn the Purna Astrology or Complete System of Hindu Astrology!

Go beyond the typically known aspects of Astrology and explore the deeper implication of samskaras and karmas accrued in the past lives and specific Tantric rituals to overcome them. Purna Ayurveda is complete system of Ayurveda based on Durgadas's study of his Books, and also

including Medical Astrology, Deeper Analysis of the Individual according to Planets, Attributes, Elements, Palmistry and deeper Herbal and Clinical study and the history of Ayurveda, Pulse Diagnosis etc. from the time of the Rig Veda onwards. After several years of finding that Ayurveda had become less traditional and lost many traditional insights, Durgadas began creating a system that incorporated all such lost elements into his Purna Ayurveda or complete Ayurveda, as well as ignored passages from the Rig Veda and classical Ayurvedic texts on the deeper spiritual side of Ayurveda, it's history, application and also astrological concerns and other spiritual healing methods. Pandit Vamadeva Shastri (David Frawley) was a key inspiration for this expansion, bringing such a traditional vision to the West with Ayurveda and all it's branches along with Dr. Vasant Lad. Vamadeva has worked for the past 30 years to help bring in a more traditional and complete approach to Ayurveda. Purna Ayurveda as a complete or integral system of Ayurveda follows the approach of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother with their Purna or Integral Yoga tradition to bring in a more traditional approach to Yoga beyond Asana, such as Swami Vivekanand, Swami Dayanand Saraswati and several other Yogis of India had also done, working with the Vedic Yogas. As such, Purna Ayurveda combines the similar approach by applies this to Ayurveda, looking back to the older classical texts and to the Rig Veda itself and specific practices often lost. This training follows initial training with either our Online Ayurveda Lifestyle Course or through the American

Institute of Vedic Studies online Course and later Certification inPurna Ayurveda or Traditional Ayurveda, unless one has already done Practitioner Training in Ayurveda, beyond the therapist levels. This training requires that one have a good background in the Sanskrit Language, although we can provide

additional resources for this. The reason for this is that Purna Ayurveda Program or Training covers the study of the Classical Samhitas or texts of Ayurveda (such as Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridayam as also Madhava Nidana, Sarngadhara Samhita and Bhava Prakasha) in the original Sanskrit, along with guidance by Durgadas in various areas. Some of these texts are also regional classical texts.

This course also requires that the individual starts to contemplate the deeper aspects of Ayurveda behind thedoshas (biological entities) and their deeper gunas (natures).

It also includes insights into the disease process, spiritual Ayurveda and Pulse diagnosis along with Durgadas, so that one can begin to contemplate upon these and gain an awareness beyond the mechanical levels. It also includes working not only with nature, but also with the Shakti, the power of the Goddess inherit in nature and beyond it, through her several forms. It allows additional training and credit hours in the study of Ayurveda for both Practitioners and those who have completed Online Courses in Ayurveda. Structure: The structure of the Course is based on the individualistic Gurukula model of tradition, which requires personal one to one contact with the teacher. This allows the Course to be structured and guided in such a way as to seek the needs of specific individuals working within Ayurveda and expand on their knowledge. The books Purna Ayurveda Pariksha, Ayurvedic Astrology, Aushadh Rahasya and Para-Yoga Vijnanaare

required books for the course for study, as well as specific guidance from Durgadas regarding supplementary reading, specific practices, discussions on cases and also study of the Classical texts. At the end of the training, a Thesis is required to be submitted of at least 15,000 words, according to the choce of the student and must explain in detail how their subject works with the Purna Ayurveda system and must also include Durgadas's 100 Levels of the Mind and Cosmological system, which is core to his teachings. Note again that this is a Traditional Ayurvedic Course and does not provide clinical hours or allopathic medical views, and is aimed at making Traditional Purna Ayurveda Practitioners through our Institute, with possible

credit from the American Institute of Vedic Studies, where required. The Hours are 300 Gurukula Study Hours from "Arogya Ayurvedic Health Ltd's "Academy of Traditional Ayurveda" over 18 Months part-time, but can be increased, according to the level of the student and subjects studied. Students can access various other writings of Durgadas from both the articles section on this website and can have direct study access with Durgadas by Email and Skype for the Program, as well as in person for those able to do so or locally. Specific sadhanas or spiritual practices and exercises are also required to be completed as Durgadas gives them to students also. These form part of the deeper aspect behind the program which may require several preparatory and other hours for the student to progress on a spiritual level and individually and hence such hours are outside the Gurukula Credit Hours noted here, which denote study only.

Durgadas is a Veda Kovid or traditional Vedic teacher proficient in all areas of Vedic knowledge including Ayurveda, Vedanta, Yoga, Tantra, Jyotish and the ancient Vedic texts.
