Relevance

The training was relevant to TB control activities such as: case detection,

treatment, and stop TB strategy

The training was helpful for doctors in TB management and how to achieve

the millennium development goals (MDGs) in the field of tuberculosis and

how to build leaders of future TB managers.

The training relevance measured in how the participants applied the

knowledge they got from these training courses so, this appeared in their

answer in the questionnaires distributed for course evaluation and we will

make a follow up for the ex participants through emails , a group in the

facebook to be communicated with them and follow how the course was

useful for them in their work

Effectiveness

The training was very effective to raise the awareness of the participants about

TB problems, case detection and management, it's reflected in increase case

detection rate and decrease the incidence and prevalence of TB burden in their

countries.

The training achieved the trainees' needs in increasing their awareness about

TB problems, increase their skills in TB management and motivate them to

increase their efforts to implement TB control activities

The effectiveness of the training course was measured by:

Reaction: (measures learners’ satisfaction with the program and captures

planned actions). The trainees were satisfy by the training courses on TB

control and this appeared in the training evaluation sheets filled by the trainees

and answering the post test and got marks better than the pre test

Learning: measures changes in knowledge, skills and attitudes. The trainees

were being able to answer most the questions of the post test and applying the

knowledge they obtained during work groups.

Application: (measures changes in on-the-job behavior). During follow up for

the ex participants through emails, mission of WHO teams to evaluate NTPs

of the regions, through meetings with the NTP managers or a group in the

facebook to be communicated with them and follow how the course was

useful for them in their work and how this course will be applicable.

Investment: (measures changes in business impact variables) these measured

in cost effectiveness of using the resources of NTP units in how to improve the

TB control by available resources and measuring the improvement using the

indicators learned during the course.

Efficiency

The training was very beneficial for the participants and for their TB

programs.

The trainees from each country will be apple to apply the knowledge they

obtained in their fields and these noticed in group discussion during training,

from the post test evaluation sheet and from their discussions during the

conducted supervisory visits.

Impact

During this course, 19 participants were trained to contribute to strengthening

and capacity development of NTPs of their countries

This will help to achieve the targets of NTPs to meet the 2015 MDG of

halving TB prevalence and deaths by 2015, and to eliminate the TB by 2050,

development of appropriate human resources with sound scientific knowledge

and management skills is crucial
