Learn about important cultural dimensions that exist across the world

especially Confucian Asia through stories that illuminate their

significance. The cultural value dimensions address differing views on

such topics as status and hierarchy, risk and uncertainty avoidance,

task-relationship focus and high context-low context communication

among others.

Additional courses: Swiss-Malaysian cultural values

Swiss-Chinese cultural values

Swiss-Asian cultural values

EU-Asian cultural values

Benefits:

The above 4 courses are aimed at developing intercultural awareness and skills-

other’s national, ethnic, organizational and even generational cultural profiles.

Participants will derive insights into:

Culture and its implications on business

Their own cultural makeup and mindsets, and the impact on their thinking

and communication styles

Influence of hierarchy on management roles

Approach to problem-solving and decision-making

Focus on the group versus the individual

Understanding the key factors that influence business relations and business

opportunities between European/Swiss and Asians/Malaysians

You will learn practical tips for how to more effectively adapt to the customs and

differences you encounter whether travelling internationally, working across borders

or interacting with culturally diverse people in your workplace or your own

neighbourhood.
