Business Communication withCourtesy

Writing a letter to a customer outside the company requires more “niceties” than writing an E-mailwithin your company. A one-sentence internal E-mail to a colleague could be this short:

Phill , give me a call at 41279 and give me the number of the report you’ re sending along to the VP

A fax or letter to a foreign company would not be short, or blunt; instead, add a few more tactful words:

It was kind of you to write and extend holiday greetings. Here in the States the Christmas season is ahigh point of the year. Thank you for your regards.

Because our company receives many reports from China and your company, we need the number ofthe report you sent us in October. We need this in order that our electronic files can easily find it inthe system. We then wish to send the report along to our Vice President of Marketing.

Nondiscriminatory Expressions

Advantages of CourtesyThe definition of courtesy is polite behavior and the showing of propermanners or is a polite and socially proper act.Courtesy costs nothing but pays a lot in return. A Courteous person is liked and loved by all. This type of men remains very popular among hisfriends and relatives. Everybody have willingness to help him in the time of need .These well behaved courteous people are the foundation of good society and nation. But these days the number of these types of people is less. That is why our society is suffering a lot from ill antisocial activities. It is because Courtesy create great atmosphere of living with coherence. Most of the people whom we come acrosseveryday are generally arrogant, impatient and self centered. They neither love other nor are loved by any of them.http://www.essssay.com/2011/12/courtsy.html

Courtesy is all about using your good manners, which is why it sharesroots with the word courteous. Holding the door open for someone, writing a thank-you note for a gift, and letting the pregnant lady havethe last seat on the bus are all courtesies that would make your parentsproud. And if something is kindly presented to you free of charge, thegift-giver may say it's "courtesy of" someone special.

Importance of CourtesyCourtesy is important for everyone and for every society. The elders , seniors and parent have big role to make our society and nation courteous and well behaved by imparting and building theparameters of good behavior and courtesy in younger, subordinate and children respectively. Teachers have also great role to model our students on right path of courtesy. The value of courtesy must be keptat the priority level in the schools. It also has a monitoring process and regulation from government side to create healthy society.http://www.essssay.com/2011/12/courtsy.html

Your elders are the people that deserve your respect the most out of everyone and everything. It is very rude to disrespect someone, especially a teacher. When a teacher is in front of the class you shouldhave your mouth closed and your eyes on her, giving her your full attention. It is very rude to run your mouth or do something disrespectful while she is trying to teach or explain To have courtesyand to show respect is to be polite with good manners, considerate of others and to have good opinions of others. When you ask others to or for things you need to include the words 'may I', 'please' and 'thank you.

Entering and leaving the formal functions at various times can be very rude and annoying there fore you should be seated at all times during the functions unless your required to perform and should leaveyour seat quietly with minimal fuss and noise. You should not be leaving early and should be waited to be asked to leave therefore showing some respect.

Courtesy and respect can be shown during church services where you have to be quiet to respect the Lord, at a funeral where u cannot say jokes or anything to respect the dead, cinemas where others needthe quiet to watch the movie, the library where concentration is needed for others and other places. So the voice level at all these places needs to be kept to an appropriate level.

Some people may be different to you but you show them the same respect you do to every other person. You should not ignore others either. In a polite way you may tell them that you are busy but not just ignoring them.

If you are sitting round on the couch at home and a visitor comes in, you show manners and politeness by welcoming them there and stand up to greet them not continuously sit down and keep watching TV.When someone is talking to you, you look directly at them not looking up; down or away otherwise it is having disrespectful manners.
