1. Tear off one third of the brocade paper. Tear off 2 thirds of the striped paper. Trim and distress edges and adhere to white cardstock.

2. Tear a little extra off the papers at top right, to create a V. Punch 6 holes either side of the tear line. Adhere paper reinforcements over the holes and thread ribbon through each hole and tie in a bow as pictured.

3. Mat photo with pink cardstock, and distress edges, wipe gesso over edges.4. Tear strips from striped paper and another paper from the pad, layer these under the

photo and adhere to layout. Tear a little hole in patterned paper to the top left of photo.5. Die cut Lacy 8 Ornamental Lace Die from white cardstock, cut in half and tuck under

photo mat. Adhere in place.6. Cut a second Lacy 8 from light weight chipboard, paint with gesso, dab with victorian

velvet and crushed olive distress stain. Allow to dry and coat with Dimensional Magic sprinkle with clear micro beads. Allow to dry. Tuck under bottom right of photo, trim off excess if needed.

7. Adhere flower trim to right side of photo.8. Cut 2 of 4 smallest sizes of the retro flower from the pink cardstock for large flower.

Also cut 2 of 3 sizes for each medium flower. Paint edges roughly with gesso, allow to dry and punch holes in centres of each.

9. Gather together around 5 stamens and glue together. Insert through the holes in each flower, starting with the smallest. Spritz with water and scrunch up tightly.

10. Unfurl the wet petals, shape into a flower and dry off with a heat gun. Spray centre with mist, allow to dry and dab a little more gesso in the centre of flower. Spray with adhesive and sprinkle with white glitter. Adhere to layout as pictured.

1. Punch blue cardstock with a decorative punch and lay it onto black cardstock to create your frame.

2. Spritz white cardstock with colour mists and trim your card to 10.5 inches x 10.5 inches. Punch at various points around the page with a decorative punch and set aside to dry.

3. Once this is dry stick it to the Damask Delight papers and attach it to the blue and black frame.

4. Cut your black mats for your papers. 4.75 x 9.5, 6.75 x 7, 6.5x 5.25 - Create a pennant from the 4.75 x 9.5.

5. Cut papers from the Damask Delight range just slightly smaller than the back mats. Before sticking to the mats stitch around the papers.

6. Cut 3 scallop frames by using the scallop nesting dies and the circle nesting dies. 7. Die cut Lotus Filet Ornamental Lace die (Madeline Collection) Cut it in half so that

half can peek through the top and bottom. 8. Die cut the Rocking Horse (Secret Treasures collection) out twice from

core cardstock. This gives it a little extra strength. Paint with white acrylic paint and crackle paint.

9. Cut 4 small circles from the Damask paper with the Circles Nesting Dies to create a scalloped edge at the bottom.

10. Die cut Ornamental Rectangle die (Secret Treasures collection) using core cardstock and sand back edge. Cut in half.

11. Assemble your layout as pictured.

11. Cut diamante flourish into sections and apply to layout as pictured (or create your own using Couture Creations Gemstones).12. Paint chip word with gesso, blend pink inks on the bottom of word, coat with Dimensional Magic and sprinkle a tiny bit of white glitter over the top.

Allow to dry and adhere to right of layout.13. Tuck leaves and trinkets into flower cluster and glue in place.14. Cut several of the smallest retro flower from white cardstock and adhere around layout, place a pink pearl in the centre of each.

PROJECT BY ADRIANA BOLZONLOOK IN MY WINDOW LAYOUT1. House Cut light brown cardstock 17cm x 25cm, place brick

template over cardstock and gently dab brown and black ink using Couture Creations Sponge Daubers over brickwork template, adhere cardstock to the left hand side of blue cardstock with double sided tape. To create roof of house - Cut three 3cm strips of paper, punch edges with half circle border punch. Adhere as shown.

2. Clouds in background Cut a Scallop Circle with the Nesting Dies Scallop Circle die cut and white cardstock. Place the Scallop Circle shape on to the blue cardstock, and randomly dab white inkpad using Couture Creations Sponge Daubers. Move scallop circle die cut over a little to the side and ink the top half edge of the die cut with white ink.

3. Cut 2 window frames with the Look in my Windowdie using white cardstock. Ink all edges of the window frame and shutters with brown ink pad using Couture Creations Sponge Daubers.

4. Top window Ink bottom box of window with burgundy inkpad, adhere strip of lace border on bottom, as shown in photograph. Cut a piece of Couture Creations Damask Delight paper 6cm x 7cm, adhere a piece of lace border on the bottom of paper with glue. Place and adhere Damask Delight paper inside the top half of the window frame with Couture Creations Double sided tape. Cut a piece of black cardstock 6cm x 7cm and adhere under bottom half of window. Arrange a cluster of punched leaves and flowers, glue in the bottom center of the box window.

5. Bottom window Repeat the step by step as per Top Window, cut shutters off window.

6. Adhere both completed windows to the side of house as shown in photograph.

7. Banners Cut two banners with Party Banners diecut and Damask Delight paper, adhere to page as shown. Create satin ribbon bows and adhere to the end of banners with glue.

8. Flowers in the garden Cut various Aurora Vine leaves with dark green, lime green cardstock and Damask Delight paper. Cut flowers with Retro flower die cut and hot pink cardstock. Adhere assorted small and large flowers as shown in photograph.

9. Birds Cut birds with cardstock and Birdsong die cut, ink edges with black inkpad, and adhere as shown in photograph.

TECHNIQUE FOCUS

1. To create the stunning cloud effect on this layout, first cut out a piece of paper or cardstock from scrap using a scalloped circle or oval die.

2. Next using a white inkpad and a sponge dauber, gentley dab around the edges of your cut shape a little more than 180.

3. Then complete by repeating step 2, overlaying your shape and colouring up to the top of your last inked shape as desired.



1. Remove the glass from frame. Adhere lace to edge of frame with a strong gel medium.

2. Adhere paper towel and lace to the inside of frame with gel medium. Cut a doily from white cardstock and adhere to inside of frame too.

3. Affix large pearls all around the edge of frame.4. Roughly paint with gesso, allow to dry and spray with mist. Spray with

adhesive and sprinkle with coarse white glitter (if you dont have these you can used Crystalina Glitzin Glamour Glitter Glue.)

5. Spray pieces of muslin with mist and adhere around the inside edge of frame.

6. Cut large scallop from white cardstock, cut matching nested circle from pink cardstock, emboss with embossing folder of your choice, dry brush with gesso and allow to dry.

7. Adhere both together with Couture Creations foam tape and attach to inside frame. Add a pink ribbon bow and decorative brad to the bottom.

8. Cut Royal Oval die from white cardstock, smear with gesso and then Crystalina Glitzin Glamour. Allow to dry, trim and adhere to right of frame. Cut rocking horse from pink cardstock, trim off head, dry brush with gesso and add to centre of frame.

9. Cut rocking horse from light weight chip and pink cardstock, adhere the two together. Stamp randomly with a crackle stamp and pink ink. Wipe gesso over edges and the rockers. Coat with Dimensional Magic. Affix pearls to bottom rocker while still wet.

10. Attach rocking horse to a striped paper straw that has been painted with Crystalina Glitzin Glamour Glitter Glue. Adhere to edge of frame as pictured.

11. Adhere muslin to side of frame and cluster flowers over the top. Dab flowers with gesso.

12. Add lettering , trinket corner and extra pearls as desired.

1. Cut a piece of dark green cardstock 14.5cm x 14.5cm, randomly stamp with distress inkpad and textured clear stamp. Adhere in the centre of white square card, with Couture Creations double sided tape.

2. Using a manual die cutting machine, cut window frame with the Look in my Window die cut and white cardstock. Ink all edges of window frame and shutters with brown ink pad using Couture Creations Sponge Daubers.

3. Cut a piece of Couture Creations Damask Delight patterned paper 6cm x 7cm, adhere a border trim on the bottom of paper with double sided tape. Place and adhere inside the top half of window frame with Couture Creations double sided tape.

4. Place Couture Creations Double sided foam tape underneath the completed window and position in the centre of the card.

5. Cut 2 vine leaves with green cardstock and Aurora Vine die cut with a manual die cut machine. Punch extra leaves with leaf punch and green cardstock.

6. Arrange and adhere a cluster of flowers and leaves on the bottom of window frame, as shown in photograph.

7. Cut a set of birds from cardstock using Bird Song die cut, ink edges and adhere bird to leaves.8. Stamp sentiment Hello Friend on cardstock, ink edges and adhere to the bottom of card with

Couture Creations Double sided foam tape.

When putting a die through your

diecutting machine, place your die on a slight angle for better cutting results

everytime!

Handy Tip

Remember to put the die through your machine once, then reverse to ensure an

even cut


TECHNIQUE FOCUS

1. To create beautifully distressed edges, start by rubbing the sharp edge of Couture Creations Scissors against your chosen stock.

2. Next use the low grain side of a Couture Creations Sanding Block to define, enhance or soften your edges as desired.

3. repeat 1 & 2 on the edges of diecut elements on your project to roughen up straight lines and add an extra touch of character.

PROJECT BY KERRIE GURNEY

1. Distress the edges of Coredinations Cardstock using the blade of Couture Creations Scissors

2. Lightly sand all over black cardstock to reveal some of the kraft core.

3. Die cut banners out of patterned papers and journal cards 3 x largest, 2 x next size down, 3 x next size down and 2 x next size down.

4. Cut patterned paper 12 x 5 to use for mat and use a large journal card as a layer.

5. Cut a strip of patterned paper 12 x 6. Die Cut Polaroid Frame from double sided patterned

paper (both pieces are used as layers)7. Die cut 2 x Party Banners and 2 x Classic Chevron

to use for embellishing.8. Distress the edges of all pieces using the blade of

scissors.9. Layer all pieces onto your base as per photo and

embellish using Party Banners & Classic Chevrons.
