As part of Coventry’s 70th Anniversary Blitz Weekend, Coventry Transport Museum and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum invite you to join our fictional ‘Blitz Family’ to take part in a whole range of Blitz-themed activities.TRANSCRIPT
As part of Coventry’s 70th Anniversary Blitz Weekend,Coventry Transport Museum and the Herbert Art Gallery &Museum invite you to join our fictional ‘Blitz Family’ to takepart in a whole range of Blitz-themed activities.
Our fun family activities at both venues throughout the day will allow you to see whatyour 1940's counterpart – whether that be grandma, mum and dad or the kids -would have been doing during the War, from ARP training to Make do and Mend.
Collect your Ration Book on the day from the Transport Museum or the Herbert, andreceive a stamp for each activity you do. If you collect enough stamps you’ll receive aspecial Blitz Family Day certificate! All events are free drop-in sessions, unless specified.
SATURDAY 13TH NOVEMBER

Uncle BobTake ShelterVisit the Medieval Undercroft in thedepths of the Herbert andexperience how it might feel totake shelter during an air raid.Numbers are limited - please pickup a ticket from Herbert receptionon the day.
Auntie BettyWe’ll Eat AgainLearn how to feed a family onwartime rations with our expertfrom the Ministry of Food.Special demonstrations at12.00pm & 2.00pm
