PLANNING – Segregation Planning

Kerry Covid-19 BCP Playbook

Segregation protocols need to be implemented. The objective is to adhere to at least 2 meters social distancing rule.

An example of things to consider when segregation planning:

• Up to date contact details for all employees.

• Avoid face to face meetings wherever possible.

• For huddles, morning meeting etc., a 2 meter (6 foot) distancing rule must be followed and all meetings be kept short.

• Management team segregation across shifts and at SLT level.

• Plans need to be made to implement segregation / zones to minimize the contact of teams (increase social distancing). This need to be across all areas of the business, from offices to production areas.

• Function segregation should be considered e.g. Quality, Demand Planning, SLT should not all sit in the one office.

• Create working from home plans and test these plans. Things to consider include:

• Access to laptops and VPN and authenticator.

• Encourage the use of Skype to replace face to face meeting where feasible.

• Stop the use of shared facilities where possible and where they need to be used, times should be staggered and time must also be given to have the canteen areas sanitized between use.

• Shift changeovers - create a time gap between shifts finishing and shifts starting.

• Advise employees to be conscious of social distancing if carpooling or availing of public transport

• Individuals with a temperature equal to or greater than 100.4 F will be isolated and will be asked to immediately return home and self-isolate. Such employees should be given a mask to protect others during their exit from Kerry premises and commute home.

• Temperature monitoring should be completed by measuring the forehead temperature using an infrared thermometer.

• Employee or visitor must take their own temperature (self-monitor) and read the results to a designated Temperature Administrator to be recorded.

• All Temperature Monitoring Administrators must review and sign the Final Personal Health & Information Tutorial Signoff form prior to taking part in these activities.
