1. LA County represents 70 designated 9‐1‐1 receiving hospitals and is based on hospitals’ daily self-report; percent of hospitals reporting (100%). “Available” beds refer to staffed, unoccupied beds able to accept a patient. Asterisk (*) = weekly average.

2. Green bars include general medical/surgical, telemetry, step-down, and adult ICU capacity. Beginning 4/1, additional bed capacity added to include other available staffed licensed beds (e.g., Trauma, Burn, L&D) that could potentially be used for COVID+ surge as needed.

DHS1 Hospitalized Patients by COVID Status

1. DHS includes the four Department of Health Services Hospitals: Harbor-UCLA MC, LAC+USC MC, Olive View-UCLA MC and Rancho Los Amigos NRC. As of May 1st, all patients admitted to DHS facilities are tested for COVID regardless of symptoms. Asterisk (*) = weekly average.
