voltage. Excludes systems for transmission and distribution of energy to the public; railw ay

traction equipment, rolling stock and signalling equipment; electrical equipment of motor

vehicles; equipment on board ships; equipment of mobile and f ixed offshore installations;

equipment of aircraft. Applies to items of electrical equipment only so far as selection and

application of the equipment in the installation are concerned. Does not deal w ith

requirements for the construction of prefabricated assemblies of electrical equipment, w hich

are required to comply w ith appropriate specif ications.
