Fiber Optic wire Guidance can be used. This makes the system immune to any electronic interference.
Use of improved countermeasures and sensors like metal detectors which can detect ships easily.
Additional circuitry of GPS (Global Positioning System) can also be placed on the torpedo for the purpose of tracking the path of the torpedo when the control unit is at a farther place from it and also at the time of loss.
With the help of the Radar systems we can also check the presence of various mobile or non-mobile objects in its vicinity.

A step-by-step approach in designing the CPLD Based Embedded System for Safety Arming Sequencer has been followed.
This system provides a greater stability, security, reliability and has added a great amount of safety to the existing systems used for Defence applications.
The system has successfully overcome the shortcomings of the existing systems by meeting sterilization requirement in order to achieve safe recovery of torpedo. It will add new dimensions in the field of defence technology.
