Trailer decant
Due to its small footprint the CPRU offers the ability to install the unit with the trailer
decanting system. Bison has designed the CPRU to have the ability to house all the
required decanting components

Operation
The CPRU system is modular and has different operating
characteristics depending on the client requirements
Decanting
Manual Manual valve isolates the trailer hose and bleed
valves vents the gas from the hose
Automatic Automated valves change between empty and full
trailers. Unit has manual vent valves.
Pre-charge When trailers change the pre-charge valve opens to
eliminate any high velocity pressure changes
Heating
The PRU has two parallel heating control systems to ensure safe
efficient heating
Manifold The manifold temperature is limited to a maximum
set point, this is controlled by a temperature sensor
in each manifold to avoid thermal runaway
Gas temperature, the gas temperature is controlled by a sensor on
the outlet line of the system. This manages the
amount of heat required for the system
Pressure controls
The CPRU has various methods to control pressure
Stage one a spring loaded regulator
Stage two Dome loaded regulator controlled by pilot gas
System
The outlet pressure is monitored and if the pressure exceeds the
set pressure by 0.5 bar the system will shut down. Depending on
the model the unit can determine if the pressure rise is due to a no
flow situation or the unit requires a service and can send a service
instruction via the PLC.
