The Community Involvement Programme ensures that every pupil
in primary school participates actively and meaningfully in
contributing to the community.
CIP activities for pupils in Canberra are faculty-based, with progression within the faculty and from one faculty to another. • Anchored by the school values, with an emphasis
on the level’s designated value• Inter-departmental collaborations are highly
encouraged so that common objectives can be achieved

• Develop a deeper understanding about the importance of conserving resources (water and electricity)
• An understanding of the benefits and importance of recycling and recyclable materials
• CIP learning journeys to be focused on collaboration and using technology
Primary 5 and 6 Faculty
• Pupils are given the autonomy to champion their CIP activity
• Given the opportunity to increase the number of CIP hours clocked in each year
• Entrusted with the recording of involvement and activities undertaken
