Around 64% of country population is living in rural vicinity with lack of sufficient resources for their life.
• Education in Pakistan is overseen by the Ministry of Education
• Article 25-A of Constitution of Pakistan obligates the state to provide free and compulsory
quality education to children of the age group 5 to 16 years.
EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN
The education system in Pakistan is generally divided into five levels:
o Primary (grades one through five);
o Middle (grades six through eight);
o High (grades nine and ten, leading to the Secondary School Certificate or SSC);
o Intermediate (grades eleven and twelve, leading to a Higher Secondary (School)
Certificate or HSC); and
o University programs leading to undergraduate and graduate degrees.

The literacy rate ranges from 96% in Islamabad to 28% in the Kohlu District.

Literacy rates vary regionally, particularly by sex. In tribal areas female literacy is 9.5%.
Pakistan still has one of the highest illiteracy rates in the world and the second largest
out of school population (5.1 million children) after Nigeria.
LITERACY IN PAKISTAN
Pakistan’s Human Development Index (HDI) value for 2011 is 0.504 which is falls in low
human development category positioning the country at 145 out of 187 countries and
territories.
Unfortunately, Education is one of the deprived fields of our country.
EDUCATIONAL STATISTICS• 270,825 institutions facilitating 40,926,661 students with the help of 1,507,100 teachers.
• 194,151 public institutions and 76,674 private institutions.
• Public sector - 26.63 million students
• Private sector - 13.96 million students
Figures indicate that 28% of educational institutions are serving 34% of students which hints at a slightly higher per-institution enrollment ratio in the private sector compared to the public sector.

Hand Pump Project
CWO installed more than 100 pumps in the deprived areas of interior Sindh like Thar
Parker, Badin and Gujju near Thatta. Fund for this project is majorly donated by the well
wisher Public of Kuwait and Bahrain for the people of Pakistan.
CWO Falcons Scholarship 2014 Program
CWO Falcons which is a youth wing of Cradle Welfare Organization initiated a great step
to provide scholarships for needy and meritorious students who couldn’t continue their
education due to their financial condition.

First we will define here the selection process of scholarship which is the most
important part. Transparency and fairness of this process is the only way to
make the purpose successful.

SCHOOL RECOMMENDATIONS
School administrations have in depth information about their students that’s
why we distribute and collect scholarship forms through schools.
4000 forms have been distributed in more than 200 schools of Karachi.
Five tests have been taken in different areas of Karachi. 1500 students appeared in the tests. 100 to 200 scholarships are planned to give to the students.
