The level of artistry and the variety of products offered and produced by Newfoundland and Labrador artists and artisans is inspiring and clearly demonstrates that we have a thriving and innovative artistic community. Throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, arts and craft has been an important part of our culture and plays a critical role in telling our stories and relating our history. From traditional craft production, to fine art and craft, Newfoundland and Labrador artists and craft producers are working hard to diversify the economy. The Provincial Government offers extensive support to the craft industry. We support an environment where artisans are aware of the important contributions they make to our province and we seek to assist them

in taking their businesses to new heights. We also want to inspire youth to consider becoming involved in the craft and gift sector.
