DRIVENBY VALUESAlthough we are rapidly growing internationally,

Brachot is at heart still a family business that

always lives up to its core values.

HonestWe cherish openness in everything

we do. We conduct business in a

transparent way and we work together

in an open, no-nonsense culture.

TrustworthyWe are convinced that trust is key in

building sustainable relationships with

our clients, employees, suppliers and

other stakeholders. That’s why we say

what we do and we do what we say.

Future-orientedWe invest in growth that our

Family Members, partners and

employees benefit from. This has been

driving our expansion for 120 years,

and will continue to do so.

Not only our materials stand the test of time. Our own company does so, too. For over 120 years, we have been crafting value with our landscape and surface materials while growing slowly but steadily. Through it all, we have always remained a family business, with the 5th generation now leading the way.

It all started in 1901, when Victor

Hermant started his business, which

initially focused on sawing and

selling marble slabs. In the following

decades, wholesaling was increasingly

complemented with production

activities, while more materials were

added to the range. At the end of the

century, a head office and production

plant were opened in Deinze, as well as

its first two sites outside of Belgium.

Brachot’s expansion accelerated at

the beginning of the 21st century,

through investments in quarries and

natural stone producers. Moreover,

its distribution network kept growing,

with more and more distribution

centres around the world, as well as

showrooms, different production units

and online wholesaling activities.

Despite this evolution from wholesaler

in natural stone slabs into a leading

international player in natural stone

and blended materials, Brachot is still

– and always will be – a value-driven

family business that is confidently

looking forward to the future. While

cherishing our rich heritage, we keep

innovating to come up with ever-

improving landscape and surface

materials.

Today, the sheer size and versatility of

Brachot opens up endless possibilities,

with countless materials for specific

applications worldwide.

MEET OUR BRACHOT

FAMILY MEMBERS

Brachot consists of various brands

and divisions, which all have their

own specialisation – from quarrying

certain types of natural stone, to

sawing and processing materials

in a specific manner or distributing

blocks, slabs, tiles and projects under

a marketed brand. As we are at heart

still a family business, we like to call

them our Brachot Family Members.

And although they are spread across

the world, they all share the same

dedication to genuine, tried-and-true

and durable value.

The past few years, we have been

heavily investing in European natural

stone, renowned for both its variety

and quality. The recently acquired

French quarries and production units,

situated in the Tarn department,

convert our strategy into concrete

results. Another acquisition aimed

at fulfilling this strategy is situated

in Verona, Italy – home of natural

stone and heart of the global market.

The perfect place to bolster our

distribution. Furthermore, continuous

optimisation of the process itself, as

well as the increased promotion of

our natural stone products, are also

important components of our further

expansion.

The collaboration between all

Brachot Family Members worldwide

and the combined force of their

numerous activities culminates in a

large assortment in landscape and

surface materials, which enables

seemingly endless possibilities.

Whatever you want to realize,

it’s possible thanks to our ample

choice in materials: natural stone

that we quarried ourselves or that

we acquired from our partners,

all trusted international quarries

and suppliers, as well as blended

materials that we crafted with

our high-level expertise. The end

products that we deliver can take on

countless shapes, from blocks, slabs

and tiles, to products that have been

developed for specific projects.

Brachot Surfaces produces high-

quality slabs of natural stone

and blended materials, which are

commercialised through the brands

Unistone (quartz composite),

Unimarble (marble composite),

Uniceramica (ceramics) and Terrazzo

(cementitious sheet material).

Combining technical innovation

with many years of expertise, this

Brachot Family Member offers

complete materials for interior and

exterior finishing. Thanks to its ample

knowledge and experience, Brachot

Surfaces is also the ideal partner for

selecting and purchasing blocks of

natural stone.

As an innovator in natural stone

paving, Beltrami offers a wide range

of materials for indoor and outdoor

applications: from flooring and wall

cladding solutions over patio and

driveway paving, to commercial

landscaping. Next to a standard

range of products, bespoke offerings

play an increasingly important role in

Beltrami’s product range. Beltrami

concentrates on creative innovation

and quality, which manifests itself

in bold finishes, special sizes and the

introduction of exquisite, high-quality

materials.

Stoneasy.com is the online gateway

to Brachot’s landscape and surface

materials. A fast-growing e-commerce

business, its mission is to simplify

the purchase of high-quality natural

stone and blended materials for

customers worldwide.

In its 6 Norwegian quarries, Larvik

Granite quarries different colours

of the world-famous natural stone

Labradorite: Labrador Blue Pearl,

Labrador Vert/Emerald Pearl,

Labrador Blue Antique, Silver Pearl

and Nordlys. It is a young, modern

international quarrying company with

a strong focus on the future and

an eye for quality, efficiency, soundness

and sustainability. This Brachot

Family Member is characterized by

extensive technological optimization

in machinery.

Cameleon consists of a South African

natural stone quarry and a modern

production site for natural stone. From

this site, Cameleon distributes, blocks,

slabs and tiles in natural stone and

blended materials. Cameleon is the

exclusive extractor and producer of

the granite Nari Black. Next to that,

it also produces and distributes blocks

and slabs in natural stone from other

African suppliers.

The Portuguese quarry SGS mines

the granite Blanc Perlé, which also

goes by the name of Cinza Penalva.

Blanc Perlé distinguishes itself by its

uniform colour and excellent technical

characteristics. This granite is suitable

for indoor and outdoor applications

in residential, civil and urban projects.

Most of all, it is reputed for its

hardness and durability, which makes it

most fit for graves and cenotaphs.

SAG groups 4 French quarries that are

specialised in the quarrying of Rose

de la Clarté. Known for its typical

pink colour, this unique granite is

mainly suitable for outdoor, urban

and paving applications, as well as

outdoor monuments. As a Brachot

Family Member, SAG helps to realise

Brachot’s strategy of optimizing and

promoting European natural stone.

Indigra is one of India’s oldest and

most established natural stone

processors. It is a reliable partner

in the production and distribution

of Indian granite, thanks to its

continuous investments in machinery

and thorough quality control in the

selection and production of the

materials – all of this combined with

a 100% European management.

Brachot intensifies its strategic efforts to optimise the production of

European natural stone by investing in Granitarn: a French ‘one-stop’ quarry

and producer of its own granite Tarn and other French natural stone for

outdoor use, road construction and urban development. In its 5 quarries,

Granitarn extracts the well-known Tarn materials: Tarn Clair, Tarn Foncé,

Tarn Royal and Tarn Gros Grain.

In addition to the quarrying of Tarn granite, Granitarn also produces French

natural stone for outdoor use and paving materials. By continuously investing

in the modernization and optimization of its machinery, Granitarn can

offer extensive flexibility and speed in its supply, production, storage and

distribution activities.

Kilkenny Limestone groups 3 quarries that are specialised in quarrying and

producing the renowned Irish Bluestone (named as Kilkenny Limestone).

This Brachot Family Member combines a high-tech approach with thorough

quality control in line with all standards, while ensuring full traceability of

its materials in every step of the process – from quarrying to production,

distribution and final delivery at the client.

Moreover, Kilkenny Limestone invests actively in sustainable entrepreneurship.

Its ZeroWaste program focuses on the ultimate elimination of waste products

from manufacturing processes, driven by the belief that Irish Bluestone is a

most valuable natural resource.

A true Irish classic, Kilkenny Limestone is characterised by authenticity

and originality with an extremely durable character. Its versatile nature is

expressed in countless indoor and outdoor applications, often tailored to the

client’s specific wishes and needs. The uniform, blue-grey appearance allows

integration into a wide variety of architectural styles.

Page 7: CRAFTING VALUE FOR · distribution and final delivery at the client. Moreover, Kilkenny Limestone invests actively in sustainable entrepreneurship. Its ZeroWaste program focuses on

Through time, Brachot has increasingly

been taking every step in the process

firmly into its own hands. Driven by its

vertical integration strategy, Brachot

developed from a wholesaler in

natural stone slabs to an international

player with quarries, production sites

and distribution centres in various

countries. Brachot’s own range is

complemented by blocks, slabs,

tiles and projects from renowned

international quarries and suppliers,

carefully sourced by an in-house team

of experts. Moreover, an equally high

level of expertise is put into practice

for the development and distribution

of blended materials.

Consistently deploying its vertical

integration strategy has clearly paid

off for Brachot. Today, the group

has no less than 20 quarries, which

are located in France, Portugal,

South Africa, Ireland and Norway.

Processing natural stone and

developing blended materials is done

at Brachot’s 8 production sites, which

are active in India, Ireland, South

Africa, France and Belgium. Finally,

the unequalled range in landscape

and surface materials are brought to

the market via 16 distribution centres

in Europe and beyond.

The addition of an Italian distribution

centre is a good example of Brachot’s

future-oriented strategic approach.

In the country that is considered the

‘cradle of natural stone’, the centre

enables easier purchase of Italian

materials, as well as smoother sales of

natural stone and blended materials.

This fits Brachot’s strategy of focusing

on European natural stone, but it

also boosts major opportunities

for the distribution of Brachot’s

own materials, as well as for the

distribution of the Brachot Family

Members’ product range.

Although Brachot has firmly established itself as an internationally leading player in landscape and surface materials,

we also resolve to keep moving forward. We continuously invest in the future of our group through innovation, acquisition,

knowledge growth and efforts for sustainability.

LOOKINGFORWARD WITH CONFIDENCE

Expertise sharingOur various Brachot Family Members

share their rapidly evolving expertise

among each other to ensure the

progress of the whole group. Next

to this, we increasingly invest in

information and experience centres like

our Stone Gallery.

Growing network and focusThe past years, we have invested

considerably in acquisitions and

the optimization of our sites, while

focusing on the commercialisation and

promotion of European natural stone.

Sustainablebusiness Brachot strongly believes in

Sustainable Business for a better

future. That’s why our group

signed the TruStone covenant for

responsible sourcing of natural

stone. Furthermore, Beltrami joined

the worldwide ‘Stop Child Labour’

campaign with the ‘No Child Left

Behind’ project, which focuses on

eradicating child labour in Budhpura

(India). The efforts of this campaign

have resulted in a significant drop in

child labour in the region and a strong

increase in the number of children

attending school again.

Continuous knowledge expansionOur people continuously expand and

optimize their knowhow, supported

by the group’s active training and

development culture. And we keep

investing in a versatile, knowledgeable

staff. We even have geologists among

our employees, who continuously study

our materials and share their expertise

internally, thus ensuring the continuous

optimisation of our activities.

Extracted with respect for natureBrachot’s 20 quarries are located in France, Portugal, South Africa, Ireland and Norway. In each of them, materials are always

extracted with respect for the environment and in line with the demands of sustainable entrepreneurship. Moreover, Brachot

Family Members like Kilkenny Limestone actively invest in the deployment of their ZeroWaste programme. Driven by the belief

that Irish Blue Limestone is a precious resource that should be used wisely and never wasted, great strides are being made in

the eventual elimination of waste products from all manufacturing processes.

Technical innovationAs a technical innovator, we make

every effort to optimise the quarrying,

sawing and processing of natural

All our materials are processed and

developed using innovative, high-

quality methods and technologies.

Natural stone blocks - originating

from our own or other quarries

worldwide - are sawn into slabs at

the various production sites and then

provided with our self-developed

surface finishings. As a next step,

these slabs are cut into tiles and

products for specific projects.

Our blended materials are crafted with equal care and devotion. Our ample

experience in natural stone is even used for the development of these blended

materials, with colours and textures that closely resemble those of natural stone.

Moreover, our state-of-the-art machinery for the sawing and processing of blocks,

slabs, tiles and cobblestones is the result of continuous investment and optimisation

in R&D. Our own team of geologists and experienced employees guarantees deep

research, expert execution and thorough guidance.
