Unplug power cord before changing or cleaning filter or emptying thedust drum.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of
hearing damage wear ear protectorswhen using the vac or blower foreXtended hours or when using it in anoisy area. Always wear safety gogglescomplying with ANSi Z87.1 (shownon Package) before commencingoperation. Safety Goggles are avail-able at Sears retail stores.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this

Vacuuming Dry Materials
1. The filter must be in correct positLon atall times to avoid leaks and possibledamage to vac.
2.When using your vac to pick up veryfine dust, it will be necessary for you toempty the drum and clean the filter atmore frequent intervals to maintainpeak vac performance.

dust when the filter is wet, the filter willclog quickly and be very difficult to clean.
3. If your filter is wet but you need to usethe vac to pick up dry material, you canquickly d.ry the filter by running the vacwithout hose attached for about 10 min-utes. The clean air rushing through thevac will help dry the filter.

cage or float. It is there to shut off air-f ow when the drum is fu of cluds.
3. After using the vac to pick up ]]quids, the filter must be dried to avoid possiblemildew and damage to the filter.
4.When the liquid in the drum reaches apredetermined level, the float mecha-nism will rise automatically to cut off air-flow. When this happens, turn off thevac, unplug the power cord, and emptythe drum. You will know that the floathas risen because vac aidlow ceases
and the motor noise will become higherin pitch, due to increased motor speed.
IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to thevac do not run motor with float in raised
