Day Trip Suggestion: Dublin Bay Prawn Festival in Howth

Howth is set to be Ireland’s culinary capital from April 1st to 3rd when the Dublin Bay Prawn

Festival hits town. Howth’s lovely restaurants, outstanding food suppliers and farmers’ marketall contribute to creating a fabulous food destination at any time of the year. However to

showcase all Howth has to offer, Festival organisers are packing this festival with all sorts of

extra fun and food filled activities, centred of course around the iconic Dublin Bay Prawn.

A “Street Food Fair” will be the centre of the action on Saturday afternoon as Restaurants and

Local producers alike take their wares to the street for sampling Prawns in a myriad of ways as

well as other tasty bites. There will of course be the ever-popular

cookery demonstrations for all those budding cooks in the

audience; wine-tasting events and the fishmongers will all

demonstrate their remarkable filleting and shelling skills.

Life Tip: Holiday Safety Easy Recipe:Guacamole

 The Bernard Shaw

From the outside, it lookslike the adjacent buildingsto the Bernard Shaw fell

down because they simply couldn’t compete with the

fun that was happening inside. Ramshackle on theoutside, cosy on the inside, this 113-year-old pub is one of the last secrets of Dublin.

The crowd is creative without being obnoxious and thereis a focus on live music but, depending on what day youenter, there could be a car boot sale in the beer garden, a

film exhibition down stairs or a badge-making class.

Good weather hasmade an

appearance inDublin! This

means the end of term is coming and there are

going to be more distractions from

your work as the weeks go by.

Stay on top of things now to reducestress and worry in the coming weeks.

Before you go to bed a make a list of 4-5 manageable and important tasksthat you want or need to get done. The next day, make these things apriority over unnecessary activities.

By breaking projects into smaller

pieces that you add to your list youcan slowly but surely work through aproject without pulling an all-nighter!

Cooking time: 5 to 10 minutesChop/dice and mash together

2 Ripe Avocados1 Red Onion

10 Cherry Tomatoes1 Bell Pepper

1 Garlic CloveDash of Salt

Juice of ! a Lime1 Bunch of Cilantro

Chill infridge with

the pit of theavocado foran hour to

blend

flavours.Enjoy!
