} Product: F9 Double Eagle:

} “Double” as in used in 2 Ways Depending on Your Purpose. } ◦ 1. Degreasing/General Cleaning: For cleaning oils, hydrocarbons, food stains,

tire marks, general surface accumulations. Also use for pre-cleaning concrete in preparation for the F9 Efflo Process, F9 BARC Process or F9 Groundskeeper.

◦ 2. Neutralizing other products such as F9 Efflo, battery acid or just neutralizing concrete before sealing.

◦ Notes: For super heavy duty oils or battery stains, it may be helpful to use the “Floor Tool Process” to agitate and scrub. (You can learn this in the Hands-On Training at our 2 day classes).

◦ In some cases you might use F9 Double Eagle a couple of different ways on the same stain. For instance, you might use it to degrease or pre-clean concrete. If you have calcium and treat these stains with F9 Efflo, you would then come back and use F9 Double Eagle as the Neutralizer.

◦ Benefits of F9 DE: Very fast dwell times and cuts oils like butter. Save time and chemical on your job.

Sales: How Do I Sell Rust or Battery Stain Jobs?

Two very common questions I get is how to sell rust or battery stain removal jobs. Battery Stain Sales Track:

Battery stains are unlike any other stain a homeowner could have. Battery stains are 31-50% sulfuric acid in concentration and even though concrete is alkaline, it does not have the power to neutralize those stains. So, the acid remains active for many years. Every time it gets wet, the water reactivates the acid, which dives deep into the concrete and spreads on the surface. This is why you see the orange battery burn run down the concrete. EPA, storm water compliance and regulatory officials consider these stains hazardous, corrosive, toxic and carcinogenic. Even when dry, the particles can be kicked up in to the air, leading to respiratory issues. It can also be tracked in the house, carpet, etc (this is where I ask the homeowners if they have walked through it and then walked into their house... if they have, I will recommend to have their tiles and carpets cleaned). So, the active battery stains can eat through an entire 6" slab of concrete, promoting premature deterioration of the concrete slab, ultimate leading into a tear out and replace situation. Maximum fines for homeowners who have hazardous stains going into the storm drains can be up to $37,500 PER DAY.We can fully neutralize the battery stains, turning the sulfuric acid into sodium sulfate, which is as non toxic and benign as table salt. (You do this by putting down F9 Double Eagle Degreaser at 8:1) The stain will be put in check and never reactivate again or cause damage to your concrete unless you get more acid on it. Note: White stains from the concentrated battery acid will remain, and you can normally get 85-95% of the remaining orange acid burn (realistically you'll get 95-99%). The concrete will be clean, bright and much newer looking."

} Rust will damage and oxidize the surface it is formed from.

} Rust will continue to harden over time and become more difficult to remove.

} Other rust removers will etch the concrete, permanently removing the cream and leaving a “scar.”

} The only other options to remove the rust (on concrete/hard surfaces) is to grind, sandblast, bead-blast, scarify, coat, or tear out and replace.

} All these options result in damage or are more costly than hiring an F9 Professional.

} What's the most beneficial thing we do as power washing companies? Help REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF SLIP AND FALLS AND INCREASE COF (COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION)! When someone slips or trips and falls at a person's home, outside a store, or on a sidewalk, one of the most common questions is: "Who's responsible?" Premises liability is the legal responsibility that property owners have for injuries that occur on their property due to slip and fall accidents. If a person slips, trips, or falls as a result of a dangerous or hazardous condition – such as a slippery concrete – the property owner may be fully responsible. In general, property owners are held accountable for falls that result from ice, snow, and other slippery conditions on their property such as calcium stains, mold accumulation etc. The measure of how slippery a surface is, is called Coefficient of Friction (COF). Other dangerous conditions include sand accumulation, oils, grease, soda or other build ups that create a slippery layer on the concrete. There are five major causes for slip-and-fall accidents: 1. Lack of slip resistance on walking surfaces 2. Poor walking surface conditions 3. Poor visibility 4. Lack or poor condition of handrails and guardrails 5. Poor accessibility

} Slip resistance is generally measured by defining the Coefficient of Friction (COF) between two surfaces. An example is the relationship between a shoe and a floor surface. There are two COF measures:

}  • Static – The force necessary to start a body moving

} • Dynamic – The force necessary to keep this same body moving

}  In the U.S., the static COF is the customary method of measuring slip resistance. The COF is generally measured between 1.0 for very rough surfaces (e.g., sand paper) and extremely slippery surfaces at 0.0 (e.g., water on ice). The American National Standards Institutes’ (ANSI) A 1264.2-2001 “Standard for the Provision of Slip Resistance on Walking & Working Surfaces” suggests a Static COF of approximately .05 for walking surfaces under dry conditions.

What is Slip Resistance?

DID YOU KNOW ? } For every $1.00 spent on Floor Care, Supermarkets spend $3.00 for Slip & Fall

claims. } Among seniors, slips and falls are #1 cause of accidental deaths. Every 18 seconds a

senior citizen is admitted to hospital from a slip and fall injury. } Slips and Falls kill more workers than all other combined forms of workplace

accidents. } Compensation and Medical cost from employee Slips & Falls total approximately $70

Billion yearly. } One in three serious bone breaks for seniors result in death within one year of the

accident. } Most major companies allocate $50,000 anytime there is a slip and fall on their

premises so as to deal with the issue. } According to OSHA and The American Disabilities Act: Passed by congress in July

1992,Title III notes: For all business open to the public, flooring and walkways should have a friction coefficient of .60 or above and ramps should have a friction coefficient of .80 or above. There arepenalties for failure to comply (up to $50K first offense) and tax benefits for businesses that take steps to comply
