The Craigmore Centre at Gartmore House is a charitable trust with education at its core, set in the beautiful Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park in Scotland.

Situated 25 miles north of Glasgow, the Craigmore Centre is the perfect location for activity holidays and educational breaks. We are open all year round and welcome groups from a variety of interests and backgrounds, including schools, universities, youth organisations, churches, orchestras and choirs.

With more than 20 years of hosting, accommodating and catering for groups, we have the necessary knowledge and experience to ensure that what we deliver is tailored to the individual requirements of each group. We are passionate about delivering a high level of service at a reasonable cost with the aim of ensuring that every group that chooses us as their venue leaves having had their expectations exceeded.

The Craigmore Centre can accommodate groups of up to 95 people. There are 16 bunk bedded rooms, 15 of which are en-suite and sleep between 2 to 10 people.

The Mews can accommodate groups of up to 29 people. There are 10 bedrooms sharing 3 bathrooms and each room sleep 2 to 6 people.

The Mews can be used for smaller groups or as additional accommodation to the Craigmore Centre.

All packages include freshly prepared, wholesome meals made by our chefs using local produce where possible.

For lunch, you will receive soup of the day and a main course. For evening meal, you will receive a main course and dessert. Packed lunches are available for groups wishing to go off-site during their stay.

We can cater for individual dietary needs. Please make our staff aware of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.

In Your Element:

In Your Element are an outdoor activity provider based near Loch Lomond. They are able to cater for all ages, offering a wide range of activities on site at Gartmore Estate.

Activities Include:

Archery - Archery is for kids and big-kids alike. Our exciting target games and friendly competitions make sure everyone has a great time.

Treasure Hunts - The team must work together to find a specific spot on the map and on arrival must complete a team challenge, while collecting information on the way, this information leads to the final clue, which the whole group must solve – the location of the treasure!

Orienteering - Learn basic map skills, then take part in a fun orienteering course all within the grounds of Gartmore House.

Bushcraft Skills - Get back to nature and learn about how to survive in the outdoors - build a shelter, learn how our ancestors made fire from natural collectable materials and learn about nature’s larder - all that’s required to survive a night in the wilderness.

‘’I have been using the Craigmore Centre facilities now for twelve years – bringing Symphony Orchestras, Concert Bands and Choirs from East Renfrewshire and the West of Scotland Schools’ Symphony Orchestra Trust. The reason we keep coming back on

such a regular basis is down to the fantastic facilities which suit our ensembles so well, along with the friendliness and eagerness to help from every member of the Gartmore

team. They are all so friendly and will do anything they can to make our stays comfortable and ensure that every one of our young folk has such a memorable time. There are plenty of break-out spaces for our smaller rehearsals and the main hall is perfect for even the bigger ensembles. There is a large sports hall where the young

folk can let off steam playing sports or social events. The facilities have been regularly upgraded over the years. Meals are in the main house and the standard of cuisine is extremely high, with any special dietary needs catered for by the kitchen, with no fuss

whatsoever. I couldn’t recommend the Craigmore Centre at Gartmore House more highly for school or youth groups to hold their residential weekends or weeks. ’’
