What is Solar power?

-Electricity from the sun- Modern usage of this technology falls into 2 main divisions.

1. Grid connected Solar powerWhere all electricity generated from the sun is used at the time it is

made.

2. Stand alone solar powerUses batteries to store and reuse electricity generated from the sun.

Combinations of these two are also possible .....

GRID CONNECTED SOLAR

Once electricity is generated from the solar panels it is fed directly to the house for use. 

If there is any left over it is exported.

Creating a "credit" on your power bill.

From January any power exported is worth 4 times as much as what is being imported.
