1.0 Extensible Enumerations
Table linkbase
• EBA’s 2.0 taxonomy published in Dec 2013
• Table linkbase was under active development:
• PWD only, REC version not yet available
• The EBA taxonomy was the first adopter (“bleeding edge”).
• EIOPA started later – so used the REC version (Ecosystem)
Pressure to tidy this up has built up slowly.
2.6 provided a reasonable point of stability to adopt.

Taxonomy Packages“defines a standard format and location for a manifest file that can be included in ZIP
files of taxonomy files that allows compliant tools to identify relevant entry points and
remappings allowing XBRL tools to treat the contents of the package as an offline
copy, without the need for additional configuration”

Extensible Enumerations
CRD IV STATUS AND ROADMAP 9
“allows domain member networks to constrain the allowed values for
primary reporting concepts, enabling taxonomy authors to define extensible
enumerations with multi-language labels.”
The EBA architecture already had a (limited) approach to this:
“In the case of domain based data types, an additional attribute
(model:domain) is included to identify the qualified name of the domain.
Where the acceptable values for a metric is a subset of an explicit domain, an
additional attribute (model:hierarchy) is included to identify a hierarchy
containing the acceptable subset of domain values.”
but a non-standard approach has clear limitations…
