Designing goes beyond creating the styling for products. For us, designing means contributing a concept, defining new uses and creating experiences that contribute well-being to the users. The product is no longer the object. The product is the experience that the user obtains through the object.

We not only design the aesthetics of the object but create a project that takes into account factors such as ergonomics, production processes and the users’ needs.

This is Alegre Design, an industrial design studio, which, through its extensive experience over the last 15 years, is capable of detecting future scenarios, creating new strategies or reinventing traditional ones. And all this within a strategic concept defined by focusing on the user, the space, its context and the manufacturer that makes it a reality.

For more than fifteen years we have faced new challenges in product design on a daily basis. This has resulted in collaborations of great diversity in industrial sectors worldwide. This experience, acquired in each project, allows us to transmit knowledge between industries and cultures. We love reinventing classics and setting trends. For the home, we design decorative furniture that innovates in its aesthetics and in the use of technology in its development. Very technical projects that reinvent the classics and, despite this, do not shy away from their artisan production.

Spaces for sharing

Designing products for public spaces requires adding new variables to the product’s conceptual strategy. On the one hand, the character of the products, the workers who use them and are responsible for their maintenance, and the end users who utilise them. Therefore, our designs are products that we believe are easy to maintain, comfortable to use and aesthetically pleasing.

Creating innovate products and new experiences cannot be only done with perceptiveness, talent and invectiveness. We also need a good working methodology.

Founded in 2000, Alegre Design is run by Marcelo Alegre and Andrés Baldoví, along with an extensive list of collaborators.

Our diverse team combines expertise in in-depth multi-perspective research, followed by a thorough creative process involving the redesign of entire product concepts and user experiences.
