The objective of this lesson: Upon completion of this lesson, you will be able to create a portfolio of your work in Spreadsheet Software Applications and other classes. You will include 4 files from the Spreadsheet Software Applications in Excel file format, one additional file from another course of your choice, and a resume with reflections on why you chose the files in your portfolio. Description: A portfolio is a way to showcase and archive your work. We will use the portfolio format contained in Schoology. You will create the portfolio and share the link to your portfolio with your teacher. Once you have created the portfolio you will have access to it even after you have completed the Spreadsheet Software Applications course by using the link that you create to share it.

Locate, identify your portfolio files, and create a folder to save them. First locate your portfolio files. Create a folder on your Desktop. Move the files to the folder.

Locate your files with the Windows Files Explorer. Right Click Desktop
Select: New
Select the Folder menu item

Give your new folder a title
Select your files by clicking the first file then holding the Shift key on the Keyboard then click the last file. If the files are not in sequence you can click and then hold the Control key and click each file separately.
Then Click and Drag all file to your folder. You can also copy all files and paste them in your new folder.

Download and Save the Resume/Reflections document
Select the text in the document and fill in the required information. a. Include your name, b. School email, c. Phone (if desired or use a fictional # i.e.,
555-555-5555, etc.), d. Address (list your school and location), e. Objective, f. Education, (secondary school, High School,
or above), g. Experience (include any of these: work/job,
volunteer work, extra-curricular/class projects, etc.).
h. Skills (base your skills on what you learned in class on the documents you have chosen to share)
Fill in your reflections on each of your selected files and then save the document as: firstname_lastname_resume_and_reflection.doc in your folder.

Give your portfolio a name

Add a picture to your Portfolio. Click Edit Portfolio Image. Click upload image and navigate to an appropriate image for your portfolio.

Find your image and Click the Open button
The image preview will generate the Click Update
Now let’s add our files. Click the Portfolio Items button

Select the File text box
The Choose File to upload window opens
Navigate to your Files, select them, and Click Open (remember to select all 4 files from this course, your one file from another course of your choice and your resume/reflections document.

The files will upload into your portfolio.
Click the circle button to publish your portfolio
Use the breadcrumb at the top to navigate back to your Portfolios page
Click the 3-vertical dot button

Click Share Portfolio
When the Share Portfolio Dialog appears Click the Copy Button to save the link address to your computer’s internal clipboard.
Then Click Close
Navigate back to your course and navigate to your Portfolio assignment

When in your assignment click Submit Assignment.
The Submit Assignment window opens.
Click the Link Icon.

Right Click the Link/URL text box and paste the link from your clipboard.
Click the Title box and type your portfolio’s title. Then click insert.
Type a message to your teacher and Click Submit.
