Applying Our Vocabulary

We chose to test our vocabulary using Bunny Tracks ice cream.

Bunny Tracks is considered an ice cream type of frozen dessert since it contains more than 10% milkfat. It is vanilla-flavored and contains candy-flavored mix-ins of chocolate-covered peanuts, peanut butter-filled chocolate bunnies, chocolate fudge ribbons, and peanut butter caramel ribbons. The brand that makes Bunny Tracks is Blue Bunny. The texture of the ice cream is hard. It has a sweet taste and is sold in 1.75 quart size in only certain locations such as grocery stores and convenient stores. The color of it is white (vanilla) with hints of brown (caramel) and black (chocolate). The nutrition elements of Bunny Tracks contain dairy, sweetners, and artificial additives.

Reflection

In the beginning it was difficult to come up with the main fields for the ice cream. Once we came up with our main fields, we started testing different kinds of ice cream to see how they would work with our system. We discovered that some of our original fields such as “toppings” and “temperature” did not work as a field for our topic so we changed them or deleted them all together. Another challenge that we faced is that what we thought were subfields were actually descriptors. While testing the vocabulary, we discovered that we should add another descriptor of convenient stores under locations since Bunny Tracks ice cream is sold there.
