    Make a miltary texture in Photoshop

    Foreground color #777676 (gray) Background white. Filter>> Render >> Clouds.

    Filter >> Artistic >> Sponge 10/13/10 Either use an Adj. Layer or go to Ctrl + U, check the

    "colorize" box and drag the arrow to the green range ofhues. Move sliders to army green color.

    Image >> Adjustments>> Brightness / Contrast. -17/34. Duplicate the layer. Select the upper layer and go to Filter >> Blur >> Gaussian

    Blur. Set the radius to 2.7 pixels

    Change layer opacity to 30%. Filter >> Artistic >> Crosshatch Repeat Crosshatch with bottom layer. Filter >> Texture >> Texturalizer

    Take the star tool. Star drawing a star and press the arrow UP key untilyou get a 9 point start.

    Effect>Path>Offset Path: .06/Round/4 Draw another circle at the midpoint of the rounded star. Effect>DISTORT & TRANSFORM>pucker & bloat at 50%

    Rotate and copy at 40 degrees Select the flower parts and Group

    Create variations of the above flowers. At least 6 different flowers withwarm color fills

    The best way to ensure that the pattern lines up is to use theTRANSFORM>MOVE function.On one side of the box, select just the flowers that overlap.

    Object>Transform>Move. Select the Horizontal or Vertical value and typein 225pts and 0 for the other direction that you arent moving.

    Follow the above steps until you have completed each side. Then make sure that clear box is behind everything. Select it and the flowers. Object>Group. Drag this group of flowers into the Swatches palette.

    Create smoke in Illustrator

    Make a rectangle and fill it black. Object > Lock > Selection Take your Pen Tool (P) and make a vertical. Make the stroke white

    and the fill blank. Set the stroke to 0.05mm.

    Change to the Selection tool, hit enter and type in .05mm. PressCommand/D 20 more times.

    Select all strokes. Change blending mode to Screen and Opacity to 10%. Thengroup them.

    With the Pen tool create a curvy (semi-bumpy) line with a white fill and nostroke.

    Select all Object > Envelope Distort > Make With Top Object. Blend Fidelity isset to 100

    Object > Envelope Distort > Envelope Options, there you should set theFidelity to 100

    Take smoky lines and drag and drop them into the Brush Palette. Select ArtBrush. The direction should be Arrow UP.

    Draw lines with the smoke brush you just created. Select all. Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur and type in 7.0px
