St Vincent’s Hospital Refurbishment
Brisbane, Queensland
Excellent planning and management was required to overcome a number of challenges presented by this project, which involved refurbishing the main hospital and constructing an adjoining five-storey extension. Challenges included no lift access, limited space for site establishment and material deliveries, the need to access operational areas and the day-to-day operation of the hospital.
Applying a staged approach to works ensured the hospital could remain in operation for the duration of the project.

Located in the heart of the busy CBD, the amalgamation of two adjacent multi-storey buildings presented many challenges to the project team including materials delivery and handling, safety and on-site storage. Our team professionally handled these issues resulting in minimal disruption to workers and the public.
As works took place on one building, the other building remained occupied therefore excellent communication and careful planning of works was critical to ensure noise, access, dust and odours were kept to a minimum.
