Flipped Classroom

A flipped classroom is an instructional strategy

and a type of Blended Learning where students

are introduced to content at home and practice

working through it at college/school.

In this blended learning approach, face-to-face

interaction is mixed with independent study–

usually via technology.

In Flipped Classroom approach, students might

watch pre-recorded videos at home, then come

to College/school to do the homework armed

with questions and at least some background

knowledge.

Flipped Classroom

A "Flipped classroom" is focused on student

engagement and active learning, giving the

instructor a better opportunity to deal with

mixed levels, student difficulties, and

differentiated learning styles during in-class

time.

In a flipped classroom, students watch

Online Lectures, collaborate in online

discussions, or carry out research at home

while engaging in concepts in the classroom

with the guidance of a mentor.
