• Nepal is divided into three topographical regions which are:– Himalayan region– Hilly region– Terai region

• Nepal is the only Hindu country of the world.• Nepal is a country having constitutional

monarchy.• Nepal is an agricultural country. About 80% of

the population depend on agriculture• The highest peak of the world, Mount Everest,

8848 meters, is situated in Nepal.• Nepal has a diversity of rich cultures.

– Different languages are spoken.– Different traditions are followed.

History of Nepal

• Earlier, Nepal was scattered in small countries.

• One Shah king named Prithivi Narayan Shah unified all the small countries into one single country which is Nepal now.
