Long before you were born, God created the heavens & earth including the sky, water, trees, animals and of course, people like you and me. The Lord did not make everything in one day. The Creation - STORY! -
DID YOU KNOW....
Long before you were born, God created the heavens
& earth including the sky, water, trees, animals and of
course, people like you and me. The Lord did not
make everything in one day. It took 6 days for his
work to be complete and on the seventh day he
rested. Let’s learn about the creation of heaven &

ON THE 1ST DAY
The earth had no shape & there was darkness all around. God said “let there be light” and there was light. He
divided the light from darkness and called the light day

ON THE 2nd DAY
God created a huge & vast sky, which is the
firmament. The firmament divided the
waters above from the waters below. He called the firmament Heaven.
(Genesis 1: 6-8)

ON THE 3rd DAY
Below the heaven, God brought the waters together in one place & caused the dry land to appear. He called the dry land EARTH & the water SEAS. He covered the earth
with all types of grass, plants, flowers & trees.

ON THE 4th DAY
God made the sun, moon & stars. He placed them in the big sky to give light unto the
earth. The sun was the greater light that would shine in the day and the moon was the lesser light to shine in
the night

ON THE 5th DAY
God wanted the water to be filled with life, so he made fishes, both large & small
as well as other great creatures of the sea. The Lord also made all kinds of birds to fly in the big blue
sky.

ON THE 6th DAY
God added creatures to the land. There were all kinds of animals including tigers, sheep, bears, &
zebras. He also made man & woman in the image of God and breathed in their nostrils the breath of life.
Like God, they had eyes, nose, hands & feet

ON THE 7th DAY
God made an END to all his work on the seventh day and rested. Because the Lord rested on the seventh day he made it holy, placing it above all other days of the week.
This day is called the Sabbath. We also rest and worship God on the seventh day Sabbath.
