How will your photos represent your story? Find subjects that are a part of your history. Consider your culture, your family history, where you have lived, etc. Take 3 NEW photos of subjects that are representative of your personal journey. Do not submit old photos! 2. Reflect in 3-5 sentences per prompt: a. How do your photographs represent your personal history? b. How do your photographs visually express your history to someone who doesnt know you? c. What aspects of your photographs would you improve upon or change? d. What are the most successful aspects of your photographs? </p><p> 3.08 Aperture &amp; Shutter Speed 2 Photos, 1 Reflection 1. Choose ONE: a. Submit 2 photos of any SAME subject. Explore your Aperture settings for each photograph to capture a large depth of field and a shallow depth of field. Submit 1 that represents a large depth of field and 1 that represents a shallow depth of field. b. Submit 2 photos of any SAME moving subject. Explore your Shutter Speed settings for each photograph to capture the effect that shutter speed has on motion. Submit 1 that represents freezing the action and 1 that represents blurring the action. c. Submit 2 photos of any SAME subject. Explore your aperture and shutter speed settings for each photograph to experiment with Exposure. Submit 1 that represents a good example of exposure and 1 that represents a bad example of exposure. 2. Reflect in 3-5 sentences per prompt: a. Reflect on your assignment. Upload a favorite photo from any previous module or a recent photograph youve taken with your digital camera. Make an appointment to discuss the following aspects with your Instructor: 1. Purpose/Intention: How were you successful? 2. Technical: lighting, focus, depth of field, exposure, aperture, shutter speed, etc 3. Compositional: Rule of Thirds, Framing, Filling the Frame, Breaking Rules, Leading Lines, etc 4. Emotional: Narrative, story, connection with viewers 5. Revisions: What would you change or improve? </p><p> 5.06 Lighting 2 Photos, 1 Reflection 1. Photograph the SAME subject to explore lighting. Submit a labeled good and bad photo of your different lighting techniques you explored. Remember, Exposure is NOT the same thing as Lighting! 2. Reflect in 3-5 sentences per prompt: a. What type of lighting did you select to use for each photo? Natural, artificial, combination? How can you tell? b. What lighting direction technique did you select to use for each photo? Front, back, or side? How can you tell? c. What made your bad example bad? d. What made your good example good? </p><p> 6.05 Portrait Photography 1 Photo, 1 Reflection 1. Submit one person or animal portrait photograph that captures the characteristic/personality you selected to represent your subject. Find a way to tell your subjects story through your photograph. 2. Reflect in 3-5 sentences per prompt: a. What characteristic did you select to represent your subject? Why? b. How did your photograph capture your selected characteristic? c.
