1.5 Social media setup and campaign management

Social media plays an increasingly important channel for brands interacting with potential

customers. However, there is a lot of complexity around managing social media like

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or a blog network and this is where we can help you. Whichever

platform your business is best suited to, we will create a captive following and a conversation

on their terms. There is an important SEO correlation and social media will positively effect

the number of inbound links to your site. Our monthly reporting will give valuable target

market insight and give us feedback as to what tactics work best and which need to be

reviewed. Embarking on an incorrect social media strategy can be more harmful than doing

so at all.

1.6 Social Media App Development

As specialists in social media and development we understand the value in apps to promote

and grow a brand. Engaging with your audience, especially on social platforms, in a unique

and creative way keeps your brand at the forefront of social innovation while increasing your

viral reach.

1.7 Website and SEO audit

With 80% of any website’s new traffic originating from search engines it is paramount to be

visible and even more so, to be as high up as possible. Unlike other forms of advertising, you

cannot pay to be at the top of any natural search results page – leveling the playing fields

and making SEO a very effective way of driving targeted traffic. We implement a

comprehensive SEO strategy without impacting negatively on the content.

1.8 Content marketing: Copywriting/Content Creation/Online Publishing

Our team of competent writers will become the voice of your business. We currently publish

content on behalf of VOMO and Critical Thought/Rhodes Business School. With Memeburn

and Gearburn as an integral part of the Creative Spark business we specialize in regularly

updated relevant content.

1.9 Media planning and placement

With our unrivalled experience in media placement and a solid network of high traffic, well

indexed sites and blogs we’ll make sure that any banner campaign appears in the most

appropriate places online. It is crucial that ads appear only to those potentially interested in

your offering where a high clickthrough rate can be guaranteed.

1.10 eCRM/Email Marketing

Email marketing remains one of the oldest, cost-effective and most successful forms of

eMarketing. Newsletters and email digests build relationships with existing and future

customers in a highly targeted, customizable and completely measurable way at a very low

cost per contact. As always in interacting with an audience, how and when is essential.

1.11 Hosting

Hosting your website, mobi site or app images and content allow us complete control with no

3rd party interference. We maintain site downtime and monitor any traffic accordingly.

Hosting with us also allows us direct access to make ad hoc changes quicker and more

regularly as required. Our app hosting also complies with Facebook's secure hosting

requirement.

2 PROCESSES AND PROJECT PLANNING Creative Spark uses its own unique template system to govern projects and tasks on a

regular basis. There are report-backs regularly via activity status reports, governed by either

a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly meeting, depending on the nature of the project.

delivering quickly. We find this entrepreneurial approach works best and effectively -- and is

particularly suitable for developing businesses in the online environment.

years, building up to a 22-strong profitable online department, managing an online sales GM,

an online editor and the technical manager.

He previously worked as GM of Publishing for 24.com (News24), the largest news website on

site went through a complete overhaul, redesign and redevelopment, which included building

a new CMS, inhouse from the ground up. In recent times the site launched 11 new online

and that there is efficient communication throughout company and with clients. Her role

includes the creation and streamlining of CSI production systems, managing the

development team and outsource partners, client interaction, and assisting the MD with

general strategic company decisions.

Prior to this, Catherine ran the Online Division at London based specialist publishers Atalink

Ltd, developing and managing news and feature based websites for the company’s

4.3 About Chris Conradie (Project Manager)

Chris is somewhat of a geek. From an early age he wasted away his youth tapping

keyboards and fixing things on computers. He took this further and decided to get more

formal training through courses in Desktop Publishing through Damelin, as well as a

Multimedia degree through the University of Pretoria.

With over 8 years of experience in the IT industry, and having successfully started and

managed his own multimedia company from the ground up, Chris’s range of skills are

diverse. As one of the founding members of Spiraleye Studios, he had to oversee a close-

knit team and ensure projects were running smoothly. During this time he also got his hands

dirty with streamlining frontend design, as well as developing rich-content, automated, web-

based systems.

He can code, he can design, he can conceptualise, and he can challenge your thinking. He is

able to look at the high-level aspects while at the same time appreciate the detail. Crucially,

he is able to apply these skills where matters most: improving businesses and coming up

with mind-blowing solutions to problems.

Chris is passionate about effectively managing the team at Creative Spark Interactive. As

Creative Spark’s Project Manager, he oversees the strategy, design, development and

maintenance of website projects, mobile phone applications, social media strategy, blogging

platforms, and online consulting.

5 CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS 5.1.1 Which CMS?

Creative Spark will either develop a CMS on an existing open source framework (such as

WordPress or Drupal) or a custom CMS, depending on the client requirements. It may also

recommend both routes, i.e. a custom CMS to handle sensitive financial data and online

banking for clients, and an Open source CMS for the company’s main marketing website or

online presence.

Depending on the client’s specific requirements, Creative Spark may recommend either

WordPress, Drupal, Magento (ecommerce) or another best suited to the client’s specific
