Pray, pray, pray • TSP prayers whenever you make a cup of tea or coffee (Thank you, Sorry, Please)

• Turn the part of the Bible that you’re reading into a prayer

o Middle finger: for people who are rude to us

o Ring finger: for people we love

o Little finger: for those who are weak or ill

• Write (and send) a prayer text

• Use an evening new billboard or BBC news front page to pray for the world

• Pray for all the events in your diary

• As you go through your house door say a prayer for the people in your family

• Pray for people when you get a text or email

• Say a ‘God bless’ prayer for the 6 friends who come up on your facebook profile

• Use the facebook status format to tell God how you feel “Joe Bloggs is…”

• Pray through the Bible … put your name into the Bible to pray these things for

yourself

• Give everyone a balloon, get them to write on in felt tip the stuff the stuff they’ve done wrong and aren’t proud of – read verse about Christ forgiving sins – pop the balloons

• Get everyone to draw round their feet and then write a prayer request on each foot. Then move a few places round the circle and pray for that person’s needs as you stand in their place, “putting yourself in their shoes”

• Give everyone a pebble – offer everyone the opportunity to pray individually and then to place their pebble in a bowl of water as a sign of having done business with God

• Give everyone a plaster – ask them to write someone’s name on it who needs healing. Pray for those people as you stick the plasters onto a big heart.

• All shout out your prayers at the same time. There’s no need to be self-conscious because everyone is praying at once.

• “Prayer Ball” Throw a soft ball around the circle. Whoever catches it days a short prayer and then throws it on to someone else. Can be done with more than one ball.

• Give everyone strips of paper to write prayers on. Then make them into a paper chain.
