Laura Zepeda Torres Management of Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) in the Mexican Undocumented Immigrant Adult Male BACKGROUND v Mexican Americans are twice as likely to develop diabetes than their Non-Hispanic white counterparts (15% vs. 8%) v Deaths caused by diabetes disproportionately affect Mexican-Americans than non-Hispanic whites (5% vs. 3%). v Males die at a higher rate than females from diabetes.
