ARTRAGEOUS THROUGHOUT SEPTEMBER

THE STATION/11AM–8PM/ALL AGES/ FREE

Bristol scrapstore will be running a workshop on 12th September as part of Bristol Doors Open Day for children and families to get involved.

The work thatis made in the foyer gallery area of The Station will feature in this month long exhibition.

STATION: IN MOTION 16TH–24TH OCTOBER

THE STATION / 11AM–8 PM / ALL AGES / FREE

This autumn staff who work for the various organisations based at The Station will be exhibiting and performing their own creative work. Featuring a wide range of art, music, installation and live performance, this will be an opportunity for the people of Bristol, young and old to experience the talent housed here. CYN, Basement Studio, Brook, YMCA and Young Bristol will all be exhibiting work from tutors and hidden talents. This is a great opportunity to get some insight into the people that make the building and the organisations tick, as well as a fantastic day or evening out.

CINDERELLA –

CHRISTMAS SHOW TUE 12TH–SAT 19TH DECEMBER

THE STATION / 7:30PM / £10 FULL, £6 CONC.

Cinderella is a girl. Or he is a boy. She works as a carer for her father. Or he works as a job-seekers ‘volunteer’. Or she works as an unpaid intern. Or he works as a migrant factory worker. Cinderella may have mental-health issues as well as being mistreated and malnourished. Cinderella knows that if she can get to party of the year, The Ball, and meet reality TV celeb. P Charmz then everything will be better. Or will it…?

This Christmas Creative Youth Network brings you a spectacular theatrical experience. Featuring work from our artistic programme as well as partners from across the city, the show will feature theatre, dance, live music and circus in this re-imagining of the much-loved family story. Step into the dark and magical world where nothing is as it seems or should be.

Top picks this term... (see reverse for our full programme of events)HELLO AND WELCOME TO CREATIVE YOUTH NETWORK'S AUTUMN / WINTER PROGRAMME 2015

During this term you will find creative courses, youth nights and our first ever alternative Christmas show at The Station. The infamous story of a young girl, told not to go to the party, who sneaks out and falls in love… Cinderella.

We are excited to begin another term with lots of activities across Bristol and South Gloucester for young people aged 8–25 with a big finish at the end! If you have any queries or would like to know more, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. (You can find our contact details on the back page).

Ujima Radio is a Bristol Community radio station featuring news, discussion and music. Recently, Ujima joined the array of creative providers based at The Station. With a vision to empower young people in Bristol through creative means, Creative Youth Network welcomes Ujima.

Sandy Hore-Ruthven, CEO of CYN said “We are really pleased to be able to support Ujima Radio at the Station. It will help to raise our profile in many new communities of Bristol and will give young people the opportunity to have their voices heard. We will also be able to offer young people real world experiences of the radio and entertainments business through our partnership with Ujima.”

The Station welcomes Ujima Radio
