Incredible ConnectionsVirginia Alice Cottey founded her school in 1884 to offer young women a quality education. After leading the school for over 40 years, she bequeathed Cottey College to the P.E.O. Sisterhood, thus launching an amazing relationship between a women’s organization and a women’s college. Both institutions understand that associations made up of women are important to women and appreciate the power and the promise of a community of women respecting, believing in, caring for, and supporting one another.

Cottey College has so much to celebrate, and the P.E.O. Sisterhood, the owners of Cottey College, has much about which to rejoice. Our connections are incredible, indeed!
