Dear Parents and Carers, It was lovely to see so many of you at our recent Parent Consultation. These are the number of parents who attended: Yr3— 78% Yr4— 90% Yr5— 97% Yr6— 94% We hope you found the meetings useful. As you know we are keen to hear your views about school and asked you to complete a number of questionnaires. Once we have analysed the main surveys, we will be writ- ing to you with the results. Of the parents who completed the survey with counters—6% found the consultation meeting satisfactory while 94% found it good. No-one was disappointed, which is very pleasing. We would like to apologise for the disruption last week at pick up time; we really did put the APP to great use!!! Parents were very understanding despite the daily changes. Fortunately things seem to be back to normal now and we have use of our playground again. Reading Coffee Morning (Yr3 and 4 Parents) We are holding a session for parents about Reading. Credit for Lunches– Parental

Responsibility

Unfortunately, we are still having to make daily phone calls and send letters to remind parents to pay for school

lunches. This is very time consuming and disruptive to our school , but more importantly upsetting for your child.

If you can’t keep your child’s account in credit we will have to ask that you send them in with a packed lunch.

Please check your ParentPay account regularly. Payments can be made through ParentPay or Pay-Point. If you have problems making payments through these methods please come and see Mrs Bur-ris or Mrs Chitroda in the school office who will be happy to help you. Thank you.

Cake Sale

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the parents who sent in cakes; we had an enormous

response! A par#cular thank you to those parents who even found the #me to

cook cakes; we are very apprecia#ve.

The Learning Council spent the day selling cakes to the pupils, helped by 4 very

dedicated parents– Mrs Ali (Yr4), Ms Halai (Yr3), Mrs Vekaria (Yr3 and 5) and Mrs

Hirani (Yr4) who helped set up, sell cakes and clear up!! We really could not have

managed without them. We are pleased to announce that we raised £320.00—this

will be given to the pupils to spend on items for the playground. We will let parents

know as soon as these items are purchased. Thank you again.

Inconsiderate Parking Unfortunately this item seems to be an ongoing issue that we have to raised in previ-ous newsletters. We fully appreciate that there is considerable congestion and diffi-cultly parking at drop off and collection time however this situation is aggravated by some parents parking inconsiderately. We have witnessed an increasing number of cars parked that block the pave-ment significantly. Not only does this impact on other road users and local residences, it also forces pedestrians onto the road. The safety of our pupils and families is of utmost importance (article 19). Please only park cars where it is safe to do so ensuring that you do not block local residents driveways.

Lost Property

We are amazed that we have only just reached the beginning of November and our lost property box in the welfare room is already filled with unnamed items such as trousers, shirts, sweatshirts, PE kits and most surprisingly of all, coats! Any items not claimed by the end of each month will be sent to charity. It is so important that you label your children's clothing.

Clubs

Parents and children have requested that more clubs be made available. This is something we

are looking to accommodate. We are pleased to inform you that we now have another football

club running on Thursdays for Years 5 and 6 star#ng in January.

Following consulta#on with pupils, parents and staff, we feel that sports clubs would be more

enjoyable for pupils if they were aimed at specific age groups. Many of our younger pupils feel

more comfortable with children of their own age group whilst the older children feel more

challenged when with peers. However, the issue is the lack of space for the clubs to take place,

especially in the winter months. We will be wri#ng to parents as soon as we have inves#gated

this request further.
