PTSO News Welcome back! The Creekside PTSO would like to welcome you and your student back for another exciting school year! Whether it’s your student’s first semester here at Creekside or you’re a veteran Knight, the Creekside PTSO is here to help. The Creekside PTSO is an organization comprised of parents, teachers and students in order to better serve the educational goals of our school. Over the past several months, our leadership committee has been working diligently to plan for the upcoming school year. Our goal this year is to provide support to the students and teachers through an array of speakers, capital initiatives, student and teacher events, and assistance with additional educational opportunities. It is going to be an exciting school year and we want and need your help. Parents that are actively engaged in their children’s education is a very effective means to help their student succeed in school. Being part of the PTSO, keeps you informed and offers you opportunities to volunteer to help meet the goals of the school. There are three steps in becoming involved: Membership, Communication and Participation. The first step is Membership. Our membership fees and employer matching gift program constitutes 95% of the funds the PTSO uses to support Creekside High School. Last year the PTSO contributed $24,600 to school activities and initiatives. Your membership fee helps us continue to grow this commitment! The second step is Communication. The PTSO meets the first Friday of every month at 9:30AM, in the professional library and all members are welcome to attend. Come join us for the first PTSO meeting, as we kick off the new school year on August 12th. The third step is Participation. There will be many opportunities for the PTSO to actively participate in events we are involved in or directly sponsor. You help is needed to make these activities a success. Join in our enthusiasm for this upcoming school and join the PTSO organization to help Creekside High School continue to offer educational excellence for our students. Let’s make this the best year yet!
