Oh hello! My name is Christopher Patrick John Sallarulo, a seventeen

year old senior at Floyd E. Kellam high school. There is a vast array of attributes which make me the character that I am, however I will do my best to condense this description into a reasonable confine. I am Martin Sallarulo and Rosemary Camilleri’s only child other than our gorgeously plump Yellow, Labrador retriever, Sonny. I am a Catholic, Italian-American, and most noticeably a non-conformer. I was born in Virginia Beach and lived in Croatan until my mother and I moved to Long Island, New York when I was only a toddler. I spent six years in New York until my family moved back to Virginia Beach in 2000.

From age three to fourteen I spent the majority of my time playing baseball in hopes of becoming a Yankee, it was certainly a definitive aspect of my life. I also played soccer and basketball which too took precedence in my life for some time. When I moved back to Virginia Beach I began to skateboard, surf, and snowboard which ultimately replaced all of my team sports entirely. The only thing which has persisted throughout my entire life is my uncanny desire to inquire and expand my knowledge. I am notorious for frequently asking questions, I am very curious and have an enormous imagination, not to mention I am all but shy. I do not hold even the smallest regret for doing so because I pride myself on my plethora of both useless and useful knowledge.

With every strong imagination comes an outlet for creativity, my outlet has always been music. Throughout my life I took up the piano, violin, singing, and most recently guitar. Although I loved all of these musical outlets, none has given me greater satisfaction than the guitar. I became infatuated with the guitar at age 11 and have not been able to put it down since. My instructors and parents told me that I had an “ear for music”, but to me the guitar just feels like a part of my genetic makeup . Without the guitar I believe my life would be missing an essential aspect, and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs would be incomplete.

Along with guitar I also have a passion for history and government. I have been a history buff for as long as I can remember yet never knew how to use that as a career until now. I am convinced that I have been called upon to utilize my love for history, diplomacy, and effective government as a State Department Agent. I will be spending the next four years at George Mason University to study Government and International Politics and aspire to attend Law School following to earn a degree in International Law. I am a firm believer in peace and helping those who cannot help themselves; this is my rationale for pursuing such an endeavor.

P.S. I am also notorious for being verbose; exhibit A ^.

 

You may find me weird, many do. However, my question to you is who determines what weird or normal really is? Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Dear ReaderHello and welcome to my BEAUTIFUL digital portfolio ova here!

Let’s cut to the chase ova here, my writing has made a metamorphosis so to speak. When I say a metamorphosis, what I mean is, my old writing…not so hot. However, my more recent writing, FO’GET ABOUT IT! MORTO BENNE! So without further ado, get through this here portfolio and enjoy…OR ELSE! Rememba, the bottom of the Hudson Riva ova dere is feeling pretty lonely these days, she’s looking for somebody to sleep with her fish, you betta hope it a’int you!

On a more serious note though, when I was in Elementary and Middle School my writing was very careless, unorganized, and simply bland. Luckily I have worked very hard since then to become, in my opinion, a fairly good writer. High School has offered me a plethora of opportunities to practice writing skills and I believe it has paid off.

For all of my New Jersey sanitation enemies out there, please allow me to partake in all of the activities listed in My Life List before you “whack” me, I would appreciate it, thank you!
