Critically analyse your experiences and beliefs about teaching and learning to identify significant milestones that have shaped your identity as an educator in the primary sector Learning strategies and competences at different stages of my pre-service and in-service development, assisted and self- conducted learning, values and perspectives of formal, in- formal and non-formal learning in my life-cycle as a teacher have moulded my existence as a teacher from the very moment I joined the service as a trainee teacher till date. This journey has had its ups and downs. I still remember the day I received my appointment letter. It was one of the toughest decision for me do decide between pursuing my dream as graphic designer student and joining the public service as a Marathi trainee teacher. Finally the words of wisdom of my father overtook me and I embarked on a new journey. A journey that not at all easy. Learning Marathi was like learning Marathi again as I had stopped it very long ago and I got recruited as it was a scarcity area. What followed was a journey full of ups and downs, failures and success. From a complete neophyte to being a diploma holder in Marathi studies was quite an enthralling achievement for me. The first milestone for me was for me the initial teacher education. The second was obviously my first experience as a teacher during the SBE.
