Arizona.Fromhismother,anoperaticsingerandtheateractress,heinheritedapassionfor

GeorgeGershwin,JoniMitchell,andPaulSimon.Hisloveofmusicinspiredhimtoteachhimselfto
playthepianoasateenandwhenhewas21yearsold,hebegangivingpublicperformances
mostlyatpianobarsandinretirementhomes,Dayrecalls.
Lessthantenyearslater,30yearoldDayhasestablishedhimselfasoneofthemostexciting
youngmusicalartistsworkingtoday.Hehasreleasedthreecriticallyacclaimedalbums,andplans
toreleaseafourthlaterthisspring.BasedinLosAngeles,hetoursextensivelyonboththeEast
andWest
coasts,
where
he
has
been
arecurring
headliner
at
anumber
of
high
profile
venues,
includingYoshis,thePlushRoom,andtheHerbstTheatreinCalifornia;TownHall,JoesPuband
