OER Benefits No worrieshere are some positive benefits: It is license by Creative Commons meaning free to use and share. Educational knowledge expands across the world. Open sharing of ideas and view points on said subject matter. 5. OER Benefits No worrieshere are some positive benefits: Content materials meets the demands of educator meaning subjects are relevant to teaching. Supply and Demand (simple economics) means open to all educators with translation available in different languages. 6. OER Challenges And so, here are some concerns about OER: Credibility of educational materials offered. No credit hours for taking an open educational resource class. Sustainability of the materials online: Will it be available forever? 7.
