STEP 4 - SETUP – Email Notifications

** The next step in the SETUP is to configure your ‘Email Settings’. These notifications alert you when:

a new member joins your Community Team

a new Donation is waiting for your approval – this alerts you to accept a ‘Pending’ Donation and thus confirm it to CrowdRising.

a Donation (upgrade) you have made, AND confirmed to CrowdRising,

has been approved by the recipient member – thus confirming your eligibility to receive Donations of higher amounts at the next ‘Stage’.

** It is important to have all of these notifications turned ‘ON’ in order to:

engage with and help the newest member of your Community

speed approval of new Donations before a ’24 hour limit’ expires!

keep track of your ‘Membership Stage’ to avoid Donation ‘passups’

I. Click ‘Settings’ in your Dashboard (top-left), then turn

each of the ‘Email Settings’ to the ‘ON’ position.

This is last mile in the SETUP process – I promise! GO TO Page 13 to continue STEP 4 …

STEP 4 - SETUP – Payment Methods

** Everyone needs at least one ‘Payment Method’ to be able to exchange Donations. There are none set up by CrowdRising, since this is a ‘peer-to-peer’ system where donations are exchanged directly from a donor to a fund-raiser, using personal accounts with compatible Payment Processors.

The key is to have your payment accounts set up with the most frequently used Payment Processors in your global Community. The image above shows examples, but you can use any method you like.

OK, let’s configure your PayPal Payment Method - the final step in SETUP on Page 14 …

STEP 5 - ACTIVATE

** now it’s time for ACTION – ACTIVATE your new CrowdRising account so that you are qualified to receive Donations. You must do this within 48 hours of signing up – this is to prevent the system from clogging up. ACTIVATION is accomplished by making your first Donation.

There are many different sharing strategies for maximizing your potential Donations and meeting your fundraising aspirations as quickly as possible. It all starts with a very small donation to the person who shared this platform with you - $20.00 US – something nearly everyone can afford.

A. On the Dashboard page as shown above, Click the ‘Upgrade to next level’ Button (Right of your picture).

To ACTIVATE, you first need to know how to DONATE – GO TO Page 16 …

STEP 5 - ACTIVATE – Donate

** CrowdRising is a CrowdSharing, peer-to-peer platform. It’s based on

donating $20.00 US to your referrer, first, so that you can ACTIVATE your account and then QUALIFY at ‘Stage 1’ to receive donations from those whom you directly refer. The platform is designed to be ‘self-funding’ after this first and only out-of-pocket donation, as your Community or ‘Donation Group’ grows. Making a Donation to a referrer is a 2-Step process:

1. Make the payment using any one of your referrer’s Payment Methods 2. Verify - Inform CrowdRising that you have made the payment

Read the ‘ACCOUNT UPGRADE’ INSTRUCTIONS in your Dashboard as shown in the image above.

To start Step 1 of the Account Upgrade process, GO TO ‘ACTIVATE – Payment’ - Page 17 …

STEP 5 - ACTIVATE – Payment

** The ‘Account Upgrade’ page in your Dashboard has 3 parts - INSTRUCTIONS (a must read every time you Upgrade), Step 1 and Step 2.

This is how to do Step 1. The image above illustrates what is involved. The Stage that you are about to Upgrade To is shown at the top, along with the exact Amount in US Dollars that you need to donate to get there. The person in the referrer group above you, to whom your Upgrade Donation is automatically targeted, is shown along with their current Stage. If their Stage is not higher than your current Stage, you will be given an opportunity to allow them to Upgrade to your target Stage before you initiate your own Upgrade. If they do not wish to do this or if they fail to respond within your ‘grace’ period, you may bypass them (Pass Up) and

donate to the next higher qualified referrer in your Community.

B. Now, pay the exact amount shown, using only one of the

target referrer’s Payment Methods and their Account ID.

To do Step 2 of the Account Upgrade procedure GO TO ‘ACTIVATE – Verify’ on Page 18 …

STEP 5 - ACTIVATE – Verify

** This is how to do Step 2 of the Account Upgrade or Donation process. DO NOT FORGET this Step – you cannot be Upgraded until you tell the CrowdRising platform that you have made your Upgrade Payment in Step 1.

C. Select the Payment Method that you used in Step 1.

D. Enter your Account ID, Transaction ID, Amount paid (no dollar symbol) and a note to your referrer (payee). For PayPal, use your PayPal Email Address for both IDs, leave the currency as ‘US Dollar’ and ignore the Screenshot.

E. Click ‘Submit’ to verify to CrowdRising that you paid.

Now, engage with your payee ‘peer’ - GO TO ‘ACTIVATE – Follow Up’ on Page 19 …

STEP 5 - ACTIVATE – Follow Up

** Once you have completed Step 2 of the Donation process, the platform will notify your payee both by email and by flagging their Dashboard when they sign in next – or they may periodically check their ‘Pending Donations’ in the ‘My Money’ section of their Dashboard ‘Member Tools’ and see that you have made a Donation to them. Your Donation recipient should quickly verify that they have received your Donation in their Payment Account. They must explicitly Accept your Donation in their CrowdRising Dashboard in order to complete the peer-to-peer payment process and lock in your new Upgraded Member Stage. Once that has happened, you will be qualified to receive larger Donations at your new Stage. HOWEVER!! Its always a great idea to personally ENGAGE with your paid referrer by phone, Skype or other contact method that they are sharing (see the icons next to their image or Avatar). This will alert them to your Donation and speed up the Upgrade process immensely.

F. Contact your referrer about your ‘pending’ Donation.

What if your Donation is not Accepted? - GO TO ‘ACTIVATE – Problem’ on Page 20 …

STEP 5 - ACTIVATE – Problem!

** Your incentive to ENGAGE should be heightened by a 24 hour ‘TIMEOUT’ feature built into the platform. Should your Donation ‘NOT BE ACCEPTED, or DECLINED’ within that period, your referrer’s CrowdRising Account will automatically go into a ‘LOCKED-DOWN’ state. That’s a BAD situation for the recipient and should be avoided at all cost by being vigilant about checking for and responding to new Donations. Being in ‘LOCKED-DOWN’ means that, although they can still access the system, all donations from below will pass up above them and all new referrals from above will spill down past them – until they resolve their status of ‘Accepting’ your Donation – this is done by contacting the SUPPORT system. If this happens after you Donate (Step1) and Confirm (Step 2), you simply repeat the upgrade process. Your Donation will be automatically targeted

to the next qualified referrer, above the failed target, in your Community. If you have a problem with any of these critical Steps in Upgrading your Account through Donations, or Receiving and Accepting donations, be sure to reach out quickly to your referrer(s) or to your SUPPORT Group.

Hurray, you’re now ACTIVATED - you can receive Donations! – GO TO Page 21 …

STEP 5 - ACTIVATE – Done

** now that you have successfully activated your CrowdRising account by making your first Donation, you are qualified to use the platform to receive Donations from Level 1 below you in your Community. At Stage 1, you can receive donations at the equivalent amount that you first donated - $20.00 US – from the first 5 people with whom you share

this fund-raising platform – your initial ‘Donator Group’ ($100 potential). Your challenge now as a new peer-to-peer fund raiser is to SHARE this platform with others. Reach out to those you know and who you want to help.

It’s really all about SHARING – see what I mean, starting on Page 22 …

STEP 6 - SHARE

** CrowdRising is a powerful software engine that leverages the speed and worldwide reach of the Internet. It has the capability to create and manage a massive hierarchical Community of ordinary people who share this technology, virally, in order to help each other raise sufficient funds for whatever beneficial cause they wish, including their own well being. CrowdRising is the new ‘Social Economics’ that will empower ‘the little guy’ and give them an equal chance for a good life.

But the engine is just a vehicle. It needs fuel and a driver – that’s you!

A. It’s time to SHARE your newly discovered platform.

It’s really all about SHARING – see what I mean, starting on Page 23 …

Page 23: CrowdRising - My CrowdSharing Blog€¦ · CrowdRising Software Platform: Getting Started Guide [Revision 3.3 wtm-5August2016] Page 1 Join our CrowdSharing Community and Help Yourself

STEP 6 - SHARE – Goal

** CrowdRising’s algorithm creates its Community as a 5x5 layered hierarchy. As you share the platform with others and they join your ‘Donor Group’ with their first donations, like you just did, the algorithm places them in each of the first 5 positions directly below you. Once those 5 positions are filled, any additional members that you refer, will ‘Spill Down’ to the next lower level, then the next, … in a strategic manner, thus sharing your Community-making efforts for both their benefit and yours. It works the same for those below you, expanding an ever widening

Community structure (see the diagram on the previous Page (22). Imagine how quickly the Community can grow (5, 25, 125, 625, 3,125 …)! It works the same above you as well. Your referrer and their referrers on up the hierarchy in the Community ‘Spill Down’ their excess members into your ‘Donor Group’ below you.

B. So, your immediate Goal now is to spread the word in your social circles and find your first 5 Direct Referrals.

C. Then, help each of them do the same by Sharing this Guide with them and looking over their shoulder as they ‘Get Started’, just as I am doing right now – simple eh!

So, how do you increase your fundraising by growing your Community in this way? I never thought you would ask! The answer is on Page 24 …

CrowdRising Software Platform: Getting Started Guide [Revision 3.3 wtm-5August2016] Page 24

STEP 6 - SHARE – Stages

** Here’s how it works! Check the diagram above. Every Member of CrowdRising is at one of 20 Stages. If you are at Stage ‘x’, you are qualified to receive Donations from ALL organizational Levels below you down to and including Level ‘x’. Replace ‘x’ with any Stage from 1-20. If, for example, you are at Stage 3, then you can receive Donations from everyone at 1 level below who upgrades to Stage 1 (potentially 5x20=$100), everyone 2 levels below you who upgrades to Stage 2 (potentially 25x40=$1,000), and everybody 3 levels below you who upgrades to Stage 3 (potentially 125x60=$7,500). You would NOT receive Donations from anyone 4 levels or more below you who upgrades to Stage 4 or higher because you are not yet qualified for those Stages.

So, potential at Stage 3 = $100 + $1,000 + $7,500 = $8,600 – more on Page 25 …

STEP 6 - SHARE – Upgrade

** Can you see the multiplying effect in potential Donors and Donations as you Upgrade your account by donating the amount for the next qualifying level? See the ‘Potential Calculator’ demo: http://zoom.us/j/4122965001. The Potential becomes more real as you SHARE and expand your

Community and new members spill down into the lower levels of your Donor Group! The whole Community can change the world ‘5 at a time’ by sharing the free CrowdRising platform and then upgrading by Donating to others.

Optimize your fundraising by keeping ahead of your Donor Group! – see Page 26 …

STEP 6 - SHARE – Keep Ahead!

** The diagram above shows an example of your ‘Referrer Group’ – those who came before you in your CrowdRising Community. Say, YOU are at Stage 4, and want to Upgrade to Stage 5. Harry is automatically targeted for your upgrade donation to Stage 5 because he is 5 levels above you. BUT, he is only qualified at Stage 3 now. If you give him the opportunity to Upgrade to Stage 5 so that he can receive your Stage 5 Donation, then all is good - if he responds. If he is not alert and does not respond or does not wish to Upgrade, then you can bypass him and upgrade automatically, and donate to the next qualified person above him, Fred.

D. Avoid being Harry – use your ‘Donations’ to keep your Stage upgraded above everyone in your Donor Group!

For one of the most ‘rewarding’ forms of SHARING in CrowdRising, see Page 27 …

STEP 6 - SHARE – Donate It Forward (DIF)

** The Motto of CrowdRising: It’s Time for the Little Guy to Win! Every now and then, there will be someone you come across who is really struggling financially, but is super keen to take advantage of CrowdRising to have a better life – for them, $20 is a barrier! Any member can easily come to their rescue to kick-start them into the Community. Just ‘DONATE IT FORWARD (DIF)’. Do NOT ‘DIF’ as an enticement to JOIN! Invite them in, with this Guide, and tell them that you will forfeit your $20 Donation from them. Have them skip ‘STEP 5 – ACTIVATE – Payment’ (Page 17) and complete ‘STEP 5 – ACTIVATE – Verify’ (Page 18) as if they had paid through their Payment Processor Account. Then, just ACCEPT their null ‘Donated Forward’ Donation in your Dashboard. If your Level 1 is already full and you are not their target sponsor, then send $21 (incl. fee) to their Payment Processor Account and ask them not to skip the Payment (Step 1). Voila – they’re Registered! Now, isn’t that just the best kind of SHARING!!

CrowdRising FAQs

CrowdRising Motto: “It’s Time for the Little Guy to Win!“

CrowdRising is a Peer-to-Peer, Direct Funding and Crowd Sharing Platform

Sharing with the person who invited you is strictly voluntary and is something that you do because you like what you see in the platform and its potential for fundraising, you want to help other people, and you feel a sense of trust and comfort with the person who referred you.

We help each other from member to member by sharing the platform, Donating funds to other Community members, donating it forward to those who are struggling to get started, and being there to guide new members.

We give with the understanding that we do not expect anything in return.

The reasons for fundraising and the use of funds is not governed by the CrowdRising platform and is at the sole discretion of each individual member.

Donations are sent directly from one member to another through their common Payment Processor of choice, not through CrowdRising’s servers which have no monetary ‘wallet’. There are no 3rd parties watching and controlling your funds. Members receive 100% of every Donation, directly.

CrowdRising is NOT a business with products or services – it is a software platform for leveraging the Internet for fundraising activity using the concept of CrowdSharing. There are ZERO admin set-up fees, no monthly fees, no algorithm to collect fees! The CrowdRising platform membership is free. Payment Processors, like PayPal, bitcoin providers and your local banks, that are used to transfer funds between members, each have their own transaction fees for their personal financial services – you choose your own Payment Processor (financial exchange) providers and pay directly to them for their service!

The Leadership provides a Facebook Group with support, ongoing conference calls, and webinars and training on how to use the platform and how to successfully share with everyone.

“Nobody will ever be left behind in CrowdRising. That just cannot ever be allowed to happen.” - Gerhard Rempel, Developer and Group Leader. ** See also CrowdRising FAQ at: http://crowdrising.net/page/faq

CrowdRising Terms of Use

We all have the best of intentions in our quest for funds and in wanting to help one another. We are guided by our conscience, our ethics, our mutual respect for each other, and the rules and laws of the jurisdictions within which we interact and conduct our lives. We do this with our heart and the skills and the tools that we have. CrowdRising is one of the tools – a brilliant one – and nothing more!

The other Tool that we use, THE GOLDEN RULE, is even more brilliant!! Neither of these tools is meant to expire. Just keep using them both… When you use the CrowdRising software, you are leveraging your heart to share with ‘the little guy’ and you are creating a loving Community. There is no business involved and the Donations that you receive and that others receive from you, are given freely without any assurance or expectation of return. The Donations are not venture capital, loans, or government grants. There is no interest, tax, debt or repayment involved! The USE of CrowdRising software will help the world be a better place. ** Official Terms of Use: http://crowdrising.net/page/terms .

Our ‘Sharing’ Language

When you talk like a monkey, they will feed you bananas! So, it’s best to apply the most appropriate and unambiguous linguistic terminology when describing your SHARING activities in relation to the CrowdRising software, when:

Speaking or writing to your friends

Skyping, messaging or conversing in your online social networks

Posting content on your websites, walls, or other places

Advertising anywhere

Our SHARING activities are just that – ACTIVITIES – like paying off your

parents’ mortgage or buying groceries for your jobless friend. We don’t do this as a business to make money, earn income, or make a taxable profit. The guidelines on the next page should help you with appropriate language for talking about what we love to do.

Appropriate Words to Use

If you have been in a Network Marketing or any other Business, you will instinctively talk like the monkey on the left side of the chart above.

When you are CrowdSharing to help others and raise funds for a worthwhile cause (yourself included – medical bills, student loans …), talk like your beautiful self – LOVE, SHARE, HELP, GIVE, INVITE, DONATE and get your own bananas!

Legal Concerns?

Don’t be concerned! You’re in the Clear. CrowdSharing activity using the CrowdRising software platform is not illegal. It is a form of legal CrowdFunding that is not Securities based. It is not a ‘ponzi’ or a ‘pyramid sales’ scheme or taxable because:

there are no investors, investments, company or returns (only strictly voluntary, individual, peer-to-peer donating and receiving of small amounts of funds without consideration or conditions).

There are no products or services bought or sold and no promise of

payment from anyone. Reference: Black’s Law Dictionary 6th Ed.
