Crown Point Bulldog Football2018 Coaching Staff - All Levels

Kevin Enright - Head Varsity CoachCoach Enright enters his 7th season as head coach of the Bulldogs in 2018. Coach Enright is a graduate of Hammond Morton High School (1987), Butler University (BS 1991), and Purdue University (MS 2007). He played four years of college football on the offensive and defensive lines at Butler University. Upon college graduation, he served as a police officer for the City of Hammond, Indiana (1991-2004). While working as a police officer, Coach Enright's coaching career began in 1994 as an assistant at Hammond Morton, with stops through the years at Merrillville, East Chicago Central, Hammond Clark, and Crown Point high schools. Coach Enright began his career in education as a Social Studies teacher at Crown Point High School in 2004. He was defensive coordinator for three Duneland Conference title teams that included two undefeated regular seasons. In 2009, Coach Enright left CPHS to become defensive coordinator and Social Science teacher at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Illinois. He returned to CPHS in 2012 as head coach and Dean of Students. He resides in Crown Point.

Sean Granger - Varsity Defensive CoordinatorCoach Granger begins his 18th season as a coach with the Crown Point Bulldogs. During his career coaching the Dogs, Coach Granger has coached the linebackers and defensive backs. Coach Granger is a graduate of Andrean High School (1992) and Wabash College (BS 1996). Coach Granger works with his father (Joe) at Commercial Sweeping Corporation in Crown Point. Prior to coaching the Dogs, Sean coached one season (2000) with former Dog's Head Coach Chip Pettit and Assistant Mark Croell at Wheeler High School in Valparaiso, Indiana. Coach Granger and his wife, Melissa, reside in Crown Point with sons, Reilly (15), and Carson (12).

Mike Depta - Varsity/JV Offensive Line CoachCoach Depta is entering his 11th season with the Crown Point football staff. Coach Deptaa is a graduate of Merrillville High School (1988), St. Joseph’s College (BS 1992), and Indiana University Northwest (MS 1996). Coach Depta has over 20 years of teaching and coaching experience with stops at Edison High School, Highland Middle School, Highland High School, Taft and Wheeler Middle Schools and Crown Point High School. Currently, he teaches Biology at CPHS. Coach Depta and his wife Maggie reside in Crown Point with their children Ben (19), Mia (15), and Ellie (12).

Tom Gulbrandsen - Varsity/JV Defensive Backs CoachCoach Gulbrandsen is entering his 12th season as an assistant coach working with both the defensive backs and special teams. In addition to coaching, this is Tom's 20th year as a volunteer for the Bulldog Football Program. Coach Gulbrandsen is a graduate of Addison Trail High School (1975) in Addison, Illinois. He earned his bachelor's degree from Illinois State University. Currently, Tom is employed as a Territorial Sales Manager for Aide Rentals and Sales in Highland, Indiana. Coach Gulbrandsen and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Crown Point and is proud to have raised two CPHS graduates, Sara (1999) and Eric (2003).

Kurt Wermers - Varsity/JV Offensive Backs CoachCoach Wermers is entering his 5th season as a member of the Crown Point Football Staff. Coach Wermers is a graduate of CPHS (2008) where he was a 1st Team All State Offensive Lineman. After high school, he continued his playing career at the University of Michigan (2009) before finishing at Ball State University (2013). Coach Wermers and his wife Nicci reside in Crown Point.

Michael Bork - Varsity/JV Running Backs CoachCoach Bork is entering his 12th season coaching football. His coaching career began in 2007 as a freshman coach at his alma mater Crown Point High School. In 2008, he was moved up to varsity where he coached linebackers for two seasons. In 2010, Coach Bork became varsity defensive coordinator at Lake Central High School, responsible for linebackers and defensive backs. Coach Bork has returned to home to coach the Dogs, where he was a member of the 2005 Duneland Conference Championship Team. Coach Bork is a 2006 graduate of CPHS and a Schererville Police Officer. He resides in Crown Point.

Trey Fankhauser- Varsity/JV Wide Receiver CoachCoach Trey is in his 4th season as a member of the Crown Point football coaching staff. He is a 2014 graduate of Wabash College, where he played baseball and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in May of 2017. Coach Trey serves as a law clerk for the Law Offices of Brian M. Smith, P.C., under the direction of Attorney Brian Smith, and will be joining the firm as a practicing attorney after the completion of the Bar Exam. He resides in Crown Point with his wife, Kylie and infant son, Maverick.

Danny Aultman - Varsity/JV Defensive Line CoachCoach Aultman is entering his 2nd year coaching the Dogs. He is a graduate of Crown Point High School (2013). Currently, Coach Aultman works as a Special Education teacher at Timothy Ball Elementary School in Crown Point. He was a four year player and captain for the Dogs. Coach Aultman resides in Crown Point.

Don Emery - Varsity/JV Offensive Line CoachCoach Emery is beginning his 8th season with the Bulldogs. Coach Emery attended Taylor University (1976-79) where he was a two year football letterman. He is a graduate of Penn State University (BBA), Valparaiso University (JD) and is practicing law in Crown Point. Coach Emery's wife Cheri works at Taft Middle School, they have been married for 36 years and are the parents of CPHS graduates Kelsey and Chase (2011).

Matt Jansen - Freshman Assistant CoachCoach Jansen is beginning his 6th season with the Crown Point football staff. Coach Jansen is a 2006 graduate of CPHS and a member of the undefeated 2005 Duneland Conference Champion Football Team with fellow staff members, Coach Bork, and Coach Wermers. Currently,Coach Jansen is employed as an electrician for Emcor/Hyre electric and resides in Crown Point with his wife, Lauren and daughter, Mila (2).

Nick Bruno - Head Freshman CoachNick Bruno is entering his 6th season as a member of the Crown Point football staff and 2nd as Head Freshman Coach. Coach Bruno is a graduate of Crown Point High School (2009) where he played Wide Receiver and Defensive Back. Coach Bruno teaches Physical Education and Health and coaches wrestling and baseball at CPHS. Coach Bruno resides in Crown Point.

Mark Croell - Freshman Assistant CoachMark Croell is entering his 17th season coaching football for Crown Point Community Schools. Coach Croell has served as a varsity offensive coordinator for six seasons and co-defensive coordinator for one year, Wheeler Middle School Head Coach, and currently, Freshman Assistant Coach. Coach Croell is a graduate of Portage High School (1992), Wabash College (B.S.), and Purdue University (B.S.). He teaches U.S. History at Col. John Wheeler Middle School where he is also the Athletic Director. Prior to coming to Crown Point, Coach Croell taught social studies at Union Township Middle School. Coach Croell and his wife Patti reside in Crown Point with their sons Brett (14) and Drew (12).

Eric Arcella - Varsity/JV Defensive Back CoachCoach Arcella is beginning his 2nd season with the Bulldogs. Coach Arcella is a graduate of Griffith High School (2004), Calumet College of St. Joseph (BS 2009), & Purdue University-West Lafayette (MS 2017). Prior to coming to Crown Point High School, Coach Arcella has coached running backs at Saint Patrick High School in Chicago, IL (2014-15) and Andrean High School (2015-2017) where he was also the head JV coach. Coach Arcella teaches Social Studies at Crown Point High School and was also an assistant volunteer coach on the Boys Track & Field team. Coach Arcella and his wife, Alexandra, reside in Crown Point with their newborn daughter, Stephanie Parker.

Ron Goodman - Freshman Assistant CoachCoach Goodman is entering his 7th season as an assistant on the Crown Point football staff. Ron is a graduate of Lake Central High School (1987) who went on to serve a five year apprenticeship program with Local 697 Electricians. Ron has been employed by Emcor/ Hyre Electric for 30 years. In the past, Ron has coached and served on the board as President for the Crown Point Jr Bulldogs. He lives in Crown Point wife his of 26 years, Alisa, son Ronnie (19) and daughter Sydney (16).

Mark Garrett – Strength and ConditioningMark Garrett is beginning his 10th season as Crown Point High School’s strength and conditioning coordinator. Prior to Crown Point High School, Mark was strength coach at Milan High School in southern Indiana near Cincinnati. While at Milan, Coach Garrett oversaw the development of athletes that won over 40 team championships in ten different sports. Coach Garrett also started the Hoosier Barbell Club, an Olympic weightlifting team at CPHS. Coach Garrett is a graduate of Cloverdale High School (1988), and the University of Maine – Presque Isle (1992). Coach Garrett and his wife Wendi live in Crown Point with their three children, A.J. (15), Kerry (13), and Michael (10).

Andrew Wrecsics - Freshman Assistant CoachCoach Wrecsics is entering his 4th season coaching with the Dogs. He is a 2011 Crown Point graduate. He earned 3 varsity letters and was a two-year starter, garnering all-state honors as a senior. Andrew resides in Hobart, Indiana and currently works with Emcor Hyre.
