Crown Valley Winery would like to thank you for your interest in having an event at our location. We hope our premiere winery experience will make an everlasting impression. Our roots date back to 1998 when our vineyard and winery aspiration began. Our romantic journey embarked with plantings of French and American hybrid grapes on a small, 10 acre plot. Since our inception, our vineyard vision has grown exponentially. It now encompasses more than 200 acres of French and American hybrid grapes, as well as a number of classic European varieties.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the countryside and embraced by lush vineyard landscapes, we erected a 44,000 square feet state of the art winery, retail gift shop and tasting room which boasts picturesque views of the brilliant countryside Ste. Genevieve has to offer. It is our mission at Crown Valley to provide you with the perfect setting, making your special day one to remember.

Beauty is but one of Crown Valley’s distinctive attributes, we pride ourselves in convenience as well. We are an hour away from both Cape Girardeau and St. Louis, making Crown Valley ideal in proximity for most metropolitan areas in our region. Our mission at Crown Valley is to make your experience as enjoyable and accommodating as possible. In order for you to receive the most luxurious experience, we will provide an event coordinator to make certain of worry free planning. We want your special day to be flawless.

Crown Valley prides itself in the culinary arts. Our Executive Chef prepares distinctive and delicious cuisine options, ranging from hors d’oeuvres to gourmet meals. These menu items can be tailored to any dietary, cultural, or personal preference as requested.

The winery offers five exclusive event spaces:THE BARREL ROOM features a charming ambiance of oak casks, elegant chandeliers and an outdoor fireplace. Rental of this intimate space includes the use of our outdoor patio and private restrooms.

THE TASTING ROOM is located in the heart of Crown Valley Winery and we believe that the customer should be a part of the wine making experience while in our facility. The production facility lies just below the tasting room, allowing winery goers a sneak peak of our wine maker at work, while sampling Crown Valley wine at the tasting bar or having a bite to eat from our vintage grill.

THE PAVILION is located next to the winery and lends itself a relaxing, covered space with a stage and private restrooms. If you like the outdoors while enjoying a glass of your favorite Crown Valley wine, our outdoor setting will be all you expected and more.

THE LOFT overlooks our tasting room and provides a bird’s eye view of the winery in its entirety. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily winery gatherings, we invite you to enjoy the loft during your stay. We make relaxing a way of life at Crown Valley.

THE VIEW is the only outside area at Crown Valley Winery that can be reserved. Seating overlooks the beautiful hillside and Crown Vineyard. This is a semi private area that can take in all the Winery has to offer.

THE PATIO is the only ouside area that can be reserved at Crown Valley Brewery for 12-25 people.

Event Details

DEPOSIT & CONTRACTCrown Valley Winery requires a $1000 deposit along with a signed contract required to reserve your event on our calendar. The deposit will be applied to your final bill, excluding tax, gratuity and incidentals. This is required for larger events and weddings.

Guest renting the Vintage Loft only have to pay for the rental fee in-full to reserve the date on the calendar.

Crown Valley Brewery requires a deposit to reserve your date on the calendar. The deposit is half the full price of the event. The event must be paid in full one week prior to your event.

CANCELLATIONSCancellations must be made 90 (ninety) days prior to your event to receive a 50% refund. If cancellations are made less than 90 (ninety) days prior to your event, 100% of the deposit is forfeited.

WEATHER & OTHER CONDITIONSCrown Country is not responsible for any act of mother nature that may postpone your event. There will be no rain dates; all events are rain or shine.

PAYMENTS AND BILLINGThirty Days Prior to the Event- A payment of one half the balance is due. This balance is based on the initial estimated number of attending guest.

Two Weeks Prior to the Event- The CONFIRMED number of guests is due. The FINAL balance is based on the CONFIRMED number of guest.

One Week Prior to the Event- The second half of the FINAL balance is due.

Tax and gratuity applies to all food and beverage charges. If client incurs additional charges during the event the additional bill will be available the day after the event. Payment will be due within ten days. Crown Country accepts cash, all major credit cards and checks.

FOODAll menus must be confirmed two weeks prior to your event. Due to food ordering and staff requirements any changes made within two weeks prior to your event may result in additional charges. Please note the guarantee guest count is due two weeks prior to your event date. In the event that this information is not received and confirmed, the expected number of guests will automatically be used as the guarantee number and the client will be charged accordingly.

Outside sources of liquor, wine or beer may NOT be brought onto any Crown Country property. Crown Country prohibits outside catering companies on premise. If you do not see an item on our menu, please ask and we will do our best to accommodate you.

TAX & GRATUITYAll events are subject to Missouri State sales tax and gratuity on food and beverage. Gratuity is 18% on buffet and 20% full service dinner.

PRIVACYThe Crown Valley Winery™ Barrel Room is the only private space during business hours and includes the use of the lower south patio. The Crown Valley Winery™, The Brewing and Distillery Co.™, The Crown Valley by Engler Park™ Tasting Room, The Crown Valley Winery™ Pavilion, Vintage Loft and all other outdoor spaces will be open to daily customers until the end of the business day. Please note there is live music on most Saturdays and Sundays, April through October. A full band schedule is on our website. Please take this into consideration when planning your special day in Crown Country™.

ALCOHOL SERVICESOur staff considers their primary focus to be the enjoyment and safety of all guests. Our staff monitors individuals consumption and will use friendly, but firm, techniques to slow or cease service to any individual of which we believe to be a dangerous risk to themselves or others. You will provide your endorsement of our staff decisions in the event that intervention is necessary. Please note beer and liquor are not allowed in the public spaces during business hours. Alcohol that is not permitted and taken into these public spaces during business hours will be confiscated by our staff.

We take underage drinking seriously! Crown staff has the right to card anyone they believe to be underage. If no ID can be presented the guest will not be served, and is not allowed alcohol on the premises. You will provide your endorsement in the event that intervention is necessary.

PRICE GUARANTEESAfter the contract is complete and the deposit is made you are guaranteed the room rental and Crown Valley brand wine/beer/liquor prices. We do everything possible to maintain consistent food and bar pricing, however, if market conditions prevail, dictating otherwise, Crown Country™ reserves the right to increase prices with 15 days of written notice.

TABLE LAYOUT AND DÉCORATIONSWe provide a draft table plan to help finalize your seating arrangements or table locations. All tables are set with white linens, including patio tables, as needed.

At Crown Valley Winery™ the private rooms are available at least 2 hours prior to your event to allow for decorating. Contact your event coordinator to find out when you are allowed to set up at all other locations.

All decorations must follow Crown Country™’s decoration policies. Absolutely no sticky materials, nails, pushpins or staples will be used on any of our interiors or exteriors. In the event that material is used that damage any Crown Country™’s interior space there will be a minimum charge of $100 applied to your final bill.

For safety purposes, candles are only permitted if they are fully enclosed or floating in water. We reserve the right to decide if your candles meet our requirements. No confetti, glitter, shredded material, silk petals, birdseed or rice is permitted inside or outside the facility.

Up to $500 will be applied to your final bill if extensive cleaning is required. Please remove all inside and outside decorations at the end of your event unless prior arrangements have been made. This includes items that other vendors may have set up. Crown Country is not responsible for items left after your event and does not guarantee the security of those items.

TIME LINE CHECKLIST

Deposit and signed contract required to book your event on our calendar.

One (1) month before your event ½ the balance is due.

Two (2) weeks before your event your final dinner and drink choices are due.

Two (2) weeks before your event your final guest count is due. This will be the guest count we will use for billing.

SMOKING POLICYAll Crown Country™ locations are smoke-free. Smoking is allowed only in designated outside areas. Failure to comply by all attendees at your event will result in a minimum charge of $500.

PERSONAL EFFECTSAlthough we endeavor to safeguard your personal property, we assume no responsibility or liability.

CONTRACTUAL LIABILITYPerformance of this agreement and any event referenced by this agreement is contingent upon the ability of Crown Country™ to complete its duties. Crown Country™ will not be responsible for any acts instigated by other acts of mother nature. Including weather, which shall impede its ability to perform hereunder. In the event of litigation, each party agrees to be responsible for their respective attorney fees.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR INJURY OR DAMAGEThe guest agrees to hold harmless employees and owners of Crown Country™ from any actions which may arise due to claims of damage, injury or death sustained by any guest if such results are caused by the negligence of the guests or participants.

SERVICES INCLUDED:

• Crown Country provides the use of an event coordinator to assist you while planning your special occasion with us; he/she will provide assistance and advice varying from florists to local hotels, shuttles, as well as available meal and beverage options. The event coordinator will be present through the duration of your event to ensure everything proceeds according to your specifications.

• Crown Country provides banquet chairs and tables to accommodate up to 150 guests.

• Complete set up and clean up of tables and chairs will be provided by the Crown Valley event staff.

• Disposable dinner ware will be provided by Crown Country, or upgrade to china and silverware for an additional $3.50 per guest.

• Schedule a complementary wine or beer tasting prior to your event in order to select desired beverage(s) to be served on your special day. If necessary, the event coordinator will be willing to provide additional assistance regarding beverage selections.

• We offer flexible set up time(s), depending on your desired location for the event. Please discuss this option with the event coordinator.

• Room rental(s) are offered in four hour blocks. Four hour block rental(s) are provided at all other Crown Country properties. Note: Additional hours may be purchased in advance for a flat rate of $300 per hour, with a mandatory extension of beverage package.

• Guests receive a complimentary half hour in order to gather personal belongings after a Crown Valley event, unless prior arrangements have been made.

LIMITATIONS:

• Crown Valley’s Barrel room accommodates up to 150 people when using the indoor space and the outdoor patio. However if you would like to extend onto the lawn we can accommodate up to 200 people. Inside the Barrel Room will accommodate a maximum of 70 people. Please discuss further details with the Event Coordinator.

• Crown Valley Winery Tasting Room is available for rental after business hours ONLY and will accommodate a maximum of 80 guests.

• Crown Valley Winery Pavilion is available for rental after business hours ONLY and will accommodate a maximum of 125 guests.

• All Crown Country locations DO NOT permit outside food or drink of any kind.

• Rental periods shall go no later than 12:00 Midnight at Crown Valley Winery and/or Crown Valley Brewery. NOTE: Extensions may be granted, please discuss with the event coordinator.

Is the Winery open to the public during my ceremony?Yes, the winery is open to the public during normal business hours. We do not shut down the winery for private events; however our Barrel Room is private and includes access to an outdoor patio area as well as private restrooms. Please note there is live music on Saturdays and Sundays April thru October. Bands are scheduled from 1:00-5:00 at the the winery and 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the brewery. Please take this into consideration when planning your special day at Crown Valley Winery.

Do you allow outside caterers?No, we do not allow outside caterers. Our Executive Chef can customize our menu to your specific needs. A meeting with them can be arranged through the Event Coordinator.

What will the vines look like at the time of my ceremony?As a deciduous plant, the vines have a definite lifecycle; here is a guide to what they will look like for your special day:

Frequently Asked QuestionsCan we bring a DJ and band?Yes you can bring a DJ and/or band. However they are not permitted until after 6:00 p.m.*Note regarding entertainment: If you book a DJ or band, please be sure they provide their own equipment. We cannot supply tables or soundequipment including microphones.

Are children charged for dinner and drinks?There is no charge for children under the age of 5 years. Children over 5 years will be charged the same as an adult for dinner and for the perperson bar package. A per person bar package will also include soda, juice, water and tea for children and non alcohol drinkers.
