Partnership between the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Eurasia Partnership Foundation, and local universities

OVERALL GOAL: Strengthen social science research and public policy analysis in the South Caucasus.

Outcomes:1.Increasing the accessibility of high-quality up-to-date research resources

The IT Laboratory is equipped with 8 cutting edge desktop workstations.

The Lab offers high speed Internet, together with statistical software packages such as E-views, SPSS, STATA, MathLab, Statistica.

The libraries provide access to the collection of local language, English and Russian language printed materials in social sciences: textbooks, references materials, periodical publications.

The libraries are open every day and serves users from any institution working/researching in the field of social sciences.

RCRCData Initiative

The CRRC Data Initiative (DI) is a cross-border effort initiated by CRRC from 2004 to collect data annually on a wide variety of social, political and economic indicators in the South Caucasus region.

Focused on

Demography, Education, Employment, Migration, Health, Social Institutions, Social Capital, Politics, Crime, and Economic Condition

While the survey in 2004 was carried out only in the capitals of the SC countries, the survey of 2005 encompassed also an internal region in each country, and, since 2006 the survey had been carried out in all regions of the mentioned countries, in both urban and rural areas.

Carnegie Research

Fellowship Program

CRRC is happy to announce the Carnegie Research Fellowship Program. Scholars in the social sciences and the humanities may apply for individual, non-degree research opportunities at universities and institutes in the United States. The program is directed at advanced researchers that already have a demonstrated track record in research. The research period lasts up to a full semester (4 months), starting either September 2010 or January 2011.

Applications need to be submitted in a hard copy to your local CRRC office. Deadline for applications is April 30, 5 p.m., 2010.
