AHOY BNR Cruisers!Welcome to the Fantastic Black Nurses Rock cruise 2018. I am super excited for this cruise and all the schedule activities. I have the opportunity to work with a great team, to ensure you will have the best experience and the best time on this cruise.

On this BNR Cruise you will be able to be on the forefront of educational and professional leadership **classes, along with meeting hundreds of people while having fun cursing.

Sherie Thomas has demonstrated success in the healthcare field for over 18 years as both an administrator and a healthcare consultant. A mother and wife with a degree in Business System Analysis and Health Informa-tion Technology, Sherie Thomas has brought her expertise into the Loui-siana Healthcare Institute, where, along with being its President, she also superintends the institute’s education and reimbursement departments.

Barbara J. Kinney is a Registered Nurse, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, where she currently resides with her husband and 5 children. She has a healthcare background spanning over 14 years, beginning as a medical assistant and eventually obtaining her Associate’s degree in nurs-ing. She started her career as a professional nurse in Renal, Telemetry, Urology, Critical Care Step Down, and Medical-Surgical units. She went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and transitioned into LDRP and women’s services. She is currently studying for her MBA/MSN in nursing leadership in health-care systems. Barbara is the Vice President of Black Nurse’s Rock Kansas City Chapter, a successful entrepreneur, and founder of the Black Women’s Health Network. She is the author of the fictional novel, Evidence-Based Practice: The Life of Isabella BSN, RN, and the children’s book, Discover the World of Nursing: Become a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
